PTI VIntage Balloon Ride
Hello,
Hope your Tuesday was/is terrific (covering all the bases there). Today I'm sharing a card I made for a PTI swap on SCS that I am in using the PTI set "Up, Up and Away". I used Cherry Cobbler and Mellow Moss for my primary cardstock colors, and added some designer paper from K& CO (Classic K McKenna). I wasn't really trying for an overall holiday-looking card, but I think this would make a nice after-christmas thank you card. Since I used a darker cardstock base, I placed a lighter shade of designer paper on the inside (which was cut with the top note die). The Mellow Moss Gingham is retired from SU. No sketch was used this time, I just kept layering pattern papers until I came up with something I liked.
If you are wondering about the background change, It's the best I could come up with for supporting the Badgers in the Rose Bowl this week...... :-)
Thanks for stopping by.....

MFT Challenge for 12/22/2010
Hello ~
Here is my card for this week's MFT Wednesday Challenge over on SCS, which was to use MFT Die-Namic dies. I love these, and I have a few more waiting in my shopping cart over at the MFT Store! :) I'm trying to get away from my Christmas stamps for at least awhile now that the holidays are pretty much over (I have one celebration left this week with a friend of mine, who is coming on the 30th).
I used four MFT DIes for this card:
- Sheltering Tree
- Fresh Cut Grass
- Jumbo Scallop
- Scalloped Scallop

MFT Pure Innocence Christmas Challenge
Hello ~ this adorable MFT Pure Innocence (PI) image hadn't seen ink, until today. She's not really a Winter/Christmas PI, but doesn't she look cute hauling her Christmas tree home? This time i used some DP from Kaiser Craft I picked up at Summer CHA (come to think of it, I think that's when I bought the MFT PI set as well) the PI image is colored with copics/prismacolors. The dress is paper pieced with the Kaiser Craft DP. I also used some rectangle spellbinders dies, the SU! Heart border punch and some ribbon (cranberry is from SU, the satin ribbon not sure who makes it - sorry). The christmas tree is from the SU! Loads of Love set.
This card was entered for this week's MFT Challenge over on SCS. :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Duelng Diva's #5 - My Favorite Things
Hello! Welcome to the December Dueling Diva's Challenge! This month was my turn to be the hostess our theme this month was "My Favorite Things"~ the idea being to use images, DP, embellishments that make you (the hostess happy). I just love this cute whimsical snowman from Inky Antics. One of my favorite paper companies is Basic Grey, and I chose to add some of the 6X6 Eskimo Kissis BG paper pack, along with plenty of embellishments ~ some of which are shown on my card above :) I also used Mercy's Sketch for this week - super fun sketch this week!
We all know during the holiday season and year round, our favorite things can be things like our families, good health, and a home with a roof above our head. So the hostesses (Terry and myself) our challenge the Divas to list some of their "other favorite things".....things that come to mind for me are: Starbucks Salted Carmel Chocolate, Badger Home Football Games, music from the Nutcracker, traveling around the states with my best friend, the Nativity scene my sister gave me for Christmas one year, white Christmas Trees, and the smiles and grins on my 23 month old niece's face (I had to sneak Tavi Pearl in that list!). I also can be talked into watching pretty much any classic Christmas movies such as It's a Wonderful Life, Frosty, Rudolph, Miracle on 34th Street, etc . I spend my Christmas Eve overnight at my parents since we celebrate Christmas Day and Tippy (my parent's dog) and I usually end up snuggling together in the spare bedroom and watch "A Christmas Story" at least once. It's become a little tradition between the two of us and it's another one of my favorite things!
I hope you enjoyed my post for today, Please check out the other Darling Diva's as well,

It's been a LONG time since I completed all three Gina K release challenges, and this one was a little different - 12 embellishment pieces. I kept the card layout simple for this one. I used 8 mini brads (basic Grey), 2 regular sized brads (also basic grey) and two strips of ribbon (SU!) The sentiment is from Very Merry Christmas (Gina K Designs).

Santa Riley
Hello! Today I am sharing a Riley Card I created for the current challenge over at the Riley & Company Blog, which was to create any kind of Christmas Card. I used Mercy's Sketch #102. I used some iridescent ice (SU) to add some glitter to the snow, Santa's beard, and his hat. My Riley stamps have sadly been neglected lately so they are pulled out so that I remember to use them more often :) The new Christmas releases are adorable, I'll have to see if I can have Santa bring me a couple......

Vintagy Christmas Tags
Hello! I've been getting my stamping mojo back this weekend. Here is a set of four tags I made for a StampTV/Gina K Designs Release. The tree image is from Very Merry Christmas (stamped in Chocolate Chip) and the sentiment is from Tag You're It (stamped in Cherry Cobbler. I used Cranberry Tart and Soft Sand cardstock from Gina K Designs. I decided not do do any coloring on the images this time. I also used Spellbinders Label 17 for my "tag shape".
Here is one of the tags by itself:

StampTV Sketch
Hello, it's been awhile since I have done a StampTV Challenge. I totally love the new sketch that was posted today for this week! I used a Gina K Set called First Christmas. Since the Basic Grey Wassail 6X6 pad was still sitting out on my desk, I used it again. :) The cardinal image is popped up for a little dimension. I'm starting to get on a roll with Christmas cards for this year, which is a good thing since Christmas is only 33 days away! All I need is a little Christmas music....Hmmmmmm
Have a great Monday evening,

MOJO165
Hello,
Simple card this week for MOJO Sketch #165. I thought I would dig into some of the Kaiser Kraft Christmas Paper I found at CHA this summer and put it to use. I love this Merry Christmas stamp, it's been in my collection a long time, but probably not since the year that's on the top of the stamp (1992). LOL!
The base and ribbon is SU! River Rock Color, the Cranberry Tart cards tock is from Gink K Designs.

Duelng Diva's #4
Good Morning!
It's time for this month's round of Dueling Divas. This month's hostess is Barbara Lynn, and the theme is "Thankfulness and Gratitude". Barb chose a beautiful whipper snapper image and sentiment for this month's challenge. She also included multiple embellishments, many of which are on my card, and some beautiful DP from Basic Grey (Indian Summer Collection).
Fall is a wonderful time of seasons, and my favorite seasons, I love the changing leaves, and the peaceful times before the winter days ahead allow me to reflect on things I am most thankful for, such as my health, my family & friends, and for the Lord above who is always watching over me and ones that I love. My life would not be the same without the many blessings I have been given, and for that I am very thankful not only during the fall season, but 12 months a year.
I also decorated the inside o the card which is shown below:
I hope you enjoyed my post for today, Please check out the other Darling Diva's as well,

Holiday PTI Blog Hop
Hello,
Hope you are enjoying this November Sunday. I joined a Paper Trey Ink card swap a few weeks ago, and some of us decided to do a Holiday Paper Trey Ink (PTI) Blog Hop. I decided to use Holiday Button Bits, and go with a bright card this time. Buttons are one of my favorite embellishments (along with ribbon of course) so of course I am in love with the "button" line of stamps from PTI.
Here is a list of other PTI fans that are in the blog hop. I'm the last on the list, so if you haven't checked any of the other ladies' creations out yet, start with Kelli Jo:
Thanks and have a wonderful sunday!

Duelng Diva's #3
Hello, it's the 15th of the Month which means it's time for Dueling Divas Round #3 ~ welcome! As you can see, this month's hostess Carol (momcgw on SCS) has provided us with an absolutely adorable image and fantastic paper and embellishments to play with month for our "Treasured Friend" theme.
All of the pattern paper, and embellishments were in Carol's card kit. But there's a mystery this month, as the designers had to incorporate their own "treasure" into the card. It also had to be a recycled item. The black tag is my item. It's a tag that was on a pair of jeans I bought 2 months ago.....and check out the embossing below (which was on the tag when I bought it......such a cool pattern...)
I loved that I could just thread this pretty light blue and navy ribbon strands right through the snowflake and through the tag hole and drop it down into the scene!
Now that we're done here, please go check out the other divas to see what they are up to on this beautiful Fall Friday:

Pumpkin Challenge
Hello All,
This Pumpkin is a challenge for at work of all places. Our division had pumpkins pinned up to the bulletin board in the hall and we were to take one down, decorate it, and put it back on the wall. They all will be voted on by the employees. So this is my entry. I went a little out of the box for mine. I used MFT's Too Cute To Spook stamp set, which just came in the mail last Thursday (perfect timing~). I embossed the tree in black, used my MS fence border punch, and the cute witch is from the MFT set. I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored her in, cut it out, and popped it up with pop dots. I cut the oval hole with Spellbinder's Petite Ovals. This is also self-standing, I created a paper stand for the back of it so it can sit on a shelf. Another picture is below showing the dimension, thanks for looking!

Denami Designs Sketch Challenge #4
Here's my entry for the current Denami Sketch Challenge. I got this cute little chickie and barn stamp at Summer CHA. They are two separate stamps, I did some masking to get the chickie image in front of the barn. I altered the sketch just a "smidge" so I could get some pretty felt ribbon on the card.
Hope you enjoy, have a great Thursday evening! Happy Fall!

Up Up and Away we go
Hello ~ Happy Sunday
Had the urge to play with some goodies I bought at CHA this morning. One of my purchases at Paper Trey Ink was "Up Up and Away". Just love all the images that came in this set. I also got the balloon dies at the same time, which made this card come together so much easier. There is a cloud die from PTI that goes with this set that is on my list of crafty stuff to get as well. The DP is from Kaiser Craft which I also purchased at a booth at CHA. My main colors were Soft Suede, True Thyme, and GKD Soft Sand, which is quickly becoming my favorite neutral, especially for card bases. The small and large hot air balloons are stamped with Sage Shadow. I really have not used Sage Shadow much but of course now that it's retired, I'm finding wonderful color combinations and DP to use it with.
No challenges for this card, just an idea that came into my head this morning and wanted to play and create :) I think that's one of the best ways to craft, because your creativity is not restricted in any way.
Have a great Sunday!

TESC 129 - Keep Plowin'
Good Evening! Happy Friday!
Here is my card for today's Taylored Expressions Friday Sketch Challenge. I used an image and sentiment from TE's Udderly Sweet stamp set. I picked this up at Summer CHA and it's the first time I have used it. It's so cute! I used Garden Green, Really Rust and Close to Cocoa for my cardstock colors the DP and ribbon are both from SU!. The brads are from Basic Grey, and I used my scallop MFT Dienamics for the Cocoa panel.
I'm so ready for fall weather ~ the leaves are starting to change color in Southern Wisconsin and it's some of the trees are really beautiful! Have a great rest of your Friday!

MFT Super Stars........
Hello Everyone,
Bear with me, on this one, as it has a few pictures :) This past week's challenge for MFT over on SCS was a Super Star Challenge. I had this idea, as soon as saw the previews a few months ago for these cute Sporty PI images, but wanted to wait for the "appropriate" theme to make it for. Aside from the coloring, which i did a few weeks ago, I put this together tonight in about 2 hours. :)
So since it's a Super Star theme, I thought there would be no better way to showcase off my favorite NFL Football Conference. the NFC North. The Cookie Sheet is 15X11. Colored in the images, and created magnets out of them. They are currently in the standings for week #2 which just finished up (notice where my Packers are??? 2-0!!! YEA!) The footballs (also magnetic) represent the # of wins (left side) and # of losses (right side). When I originally thought of this idea, I was planning to use some die cut numbers for the standings, then I saw the little football image in the PI Football Boy set and thought those would be cute for standings. More on the left side for the Packers, the better! LOL!
The star punches on the right are from SU. I did the stars and the NFC North Lettering in NFC North Colors too. The green background DP that looks like grass/turf is from Creative Memories (got it LOOONG time ago). Hope you enjoy! :)
More details:
Close up of the football and cheerleader images
(these sets work soooo good together!)
Here you can see the magnets, which is actually recycled duplicate
magnetic schedules I had from some Badger sports last year.
I simply ran it through my Xyron with a magnetic
cartridge and punched 1/2" circles. Super easy and cheap!!!

Duelng Diva's Week #2
Hello and welcome to week #2 (actually month #2) of Dueling Darlings! Our hostess for the card kit this month was the lovely Joan (aka Ms. Earl Gray). She's a wonderful lady with an amazing collection of Teapots! She came up with a lovely fall-themed kit with this adorable image.
I had a hard time designing this card, and had nothing to do with the image. Joan sent soooo many cool embellishments it took me awhile to pick which ones to use! I ended up using this great ribbon (at the bottom) and two buttons. One of my "things" right now is putting a button or other embellishment in the middle of the ribbon bow.
Please check out the other Darling Diva's as well, Judy is next on the list

Fav Hobby Swap
Football anyone? Fall is my favorite time of the year, cooler weather, less humidity, pretty trees full of oranges, browns, and reds, and of course, football season. Badger season started last Saturday (with a big "W") and the Packers officially start Sunday.....so it's probably no shock I made a football-themed card for Barb's My Favorite Hobby Swap on SCS ~ decided to keep the colors "neutral" for the most part.
Recipe:
Stamps: Hampton Arts, CTMH
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Soft Suede, Chocolate Kiss (GKD), Soft Sand (GKD)
Ink: Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip
Access: Expresso Ribbon, Black Brads. Classic Labels Punch, Pop Dots

Duelng Diva's Week #1
Good morning, friends! Welcome to the first round of Dueling Darlings! Many of you have seen our badges, but we are finally launching into full battle! What is are the Dueling Darlings? We are a group of friends that have been crafting together and have taken a new twist on crafting to "duel"! We, the Deuling Darling Divas, have one image/card kit to work with and the other half, the Dueling Darling Dazzlers, have another image/card kit with the same theme! The object is to see what we came up with using this theme, what stamp was picked and how the divas/dazzlers created with it! Now ... LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!
The theme this month: "I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream!" It's still summer, and one of the best summer treats is ice cream! I thought this image was really CUTE to work with, and the embellishments and paper Kelly sent with them coordinate so PERFECTLY! I just love the DP which is from American Crafts. My own supplies were olive cardstock, dimensionals, and nestabilities/sizzix border dies.
First up this month was Kelly ~ and if you are just now seeing my cards, start there to see the entire list of Divas!
