Freshly Made Sketches #316

Hello Hello

Today's card is for Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #316 all of the "white space" in this sketch provides for endless possibilities. For my card I chose to use Night in Bethlehem stamps (and coordinating dies). The sentiment is from Tim Holtz. No DSP this time, just Real Red, Gina K White, and Gina K Silver. Added some bling on the sentiment panel.

Here is the sketch:

SC667 Smitten Mitten

Hello Hello -

Today I am sharing a card  I made using some new goodies I got at Camp Stamp In Oga last weekend.  My SU! Demo Sarah holds a big SU! event 3X a year. It is always lots of fun, because I usually get to see some of my SCS Friends there (Barb is almost always there and Terry usually comes too!)

I made this card using some of the Quilted Christmas DSP And Ribbon that we call got as gifts for coming to the event. The dies and stamps are from Smitten Mitten / Many Mittens Framelits dies. At a previous event we made a different card using this set and I was in LOVE with it!

I used Splitcoast Sketch 665 for my layout! This is the 2nd of 4 sketch challenges I want to try this weekend!

MOJO194

Hello ~

My card today is for MOJO194 on the Mojo Monday Blog. When I saw this sketch earlier in the week I knew I wanted to play along. The sketch is a great for using up scraps.  The owl image is from the SU! 2011 SAB Set ~ Punch Bunch. I used some retired SU! Patterned paper, spellbinders circles and circle scallops and an EK Success Scallop Border punch. My card stock and ribbon is also from SU!

MOJO 115

Hello!

Here's my submission for this week's MOJO Monday Sketch, I pulled out a couple of old favorite SU Sets for this one. I love doing square cards, and this one measures 4.25".

I don't have the names of the DP's handy for this one, being trying to use up my scrap stash box which is getting pretty full :)

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Winter's coming....

Good Evening ~

Here is a card I worked on this weekend for another SCS Swap I am in. We have to use the new SU InColors. I chose to use Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, and Rich Razzleberry. I also used a SU! Set I ordered from the Holiday Mini Catalog, called Cold & Cuddly. I masked the beat image over the ice image. The stamped hearts are from the SU! set called Love You Much.

Thanks for looking!

MOJO Monday Sketch #78

Happy Monday again!

I'm actually posting my card for Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge on a Monday. I got a little Sellabration going on too....This card uses the set Polka Dot Punches, Delicate Dots DSP, and Saffron Ribbon all from the 2009 SAB Collection. The sentiment is from Fundamental Phrases and I anchored the sentiment with a yellow Basic Grey brad.

I'm making this card for SAB/Hostess Set swap on SCS. This sketch was the perfect fit for this card.

Have a great night!

Quick Box of Cards...

Here is my creation for today, must have had the mojo going because I put this together in about an hour. The box directions are below:

Start with a 4" X11.5 Sheet of Riding Hood Red Cardstock. Score the long ways at 4", 5", 9" and 10". The 1.5" on the end is your "lid", although I added a 2" X 2.5" strip to it to make it larger. The sides of the box have a 2"X4" piece of Riding Hood Red Cardstock, scored the short ways at 1/2" and 1.5". The 2 skinny 1/2" ends I applied red sticky tape and then adhered them to the inside of the front and back of the box.

The cards are 3X3.

The full recipe is below:
Stamps: Love You Much
Ink: Close to Cocoa
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette
Access; SU Scallop Edge Punch, SU Scallop Circle Punch, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Pink Pirroette Striped Ribbon, Silver Brads, Dimensionals, Swiss Dots A2 Embossing Folder, Cuttlebug, Chocolate Chip Twill Ribbon (retired).

I don't have a lot of wedding/congratulations cards made up so this will go in that "stash" for use when I need one on the go.

Stamps: Eastern Blooms, Fancy Flexible Phrases (retired)
Paper: Bella Rose DSP, Black, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Ink: Pink Pirouette,  Jet Black Stazon
Access: Stylized Silver HPH, Swiss Dots A2 Embossing Folder, Cuttlebug, Black Gingham Ribbon

Have a good night!

WSC46 - Happy Everything

This is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge. I did this tonight when I got home from work. Lots of layering, but that tends to be my style. I played a but with the flower piece, pretty happy with the results! I'l have another oblong card to share tomorrow for the SCS Wednesday Sketch.

The recipe for this card can be found in my SCS Gallery by clicking HERE

Have a super night!

Flap fold card....

I signed up for a flap-fold card swap on SCS, having never done one before. Well, this is what I came up with. Basically the card folds twice (once from the bottom and once from the top). I started with a 4.25" X 11" sheet of celery cardstock, and then scored it at 3", and 7.5". The actual card is 4.25" by 4" when folded. The inside middle panel can be stamped as well (which is above). The card is "held together" with a velcro dot on the bottom of the big flower (from SU Retired Big Blooms).
The deets:
Sets: Happy Everything, Big Blooms (retired)
CS: Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Whisper Whisper White, Pattern Paper from Retired SAB Simply Scrappin Kit,
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue, Pretty In Pink
Access: Bashful Blue Striped Grossgrain, Ticket Corner Punch, Brads, Dimensionals, Velcro Dots, Circle Punches

Have a great night! I went to the gym tonight so between walking 45 minutes & stamping 7 of these (6 for a swap & 1 for me) I am tired! LOL!

Punchie Elmo

Happy Sunday!
One of the swaps I signed up on SCS recently was a punch swap. Basically punches had to be the focal point of the card. Awhile back I was searching on Elmo in the SCS Gallery for some reason, and came across this idea. (The hat is my own creation though!). The sentiment is from SU Happy Everything, and the dsp is retired from a simply scrappin kit from about 3 years ago. Enjoy!

It started off As....

A card for Beate's weekend sketch challenge. Then I don't know what happened. It got turned around a little bit. Oh well. I wanted to finish it. That's why I love sketches, because often it's just a starting point & you end up somewhere completely different. Although this time I got the main elements still in the card, two rectangles, and the focal point is a circle. I had to hand cut the circle out - I couldn't find my Fiskars cutter for my circle templates, and I don't have any larger circle punches. The scallops around the circle are circles that I punched out. I used the Nursery Necessities stamps set from SU. Now, I am not big on baby sets, but I really like this set. I like the bold images, and I can take this boat stamp and use it for other cards besides baby cards (kid's birthday for example). They are a little dark in the picture, but the brads are brilliant blue. I also used Pumpkin Pie Striped Grossgrain, along with 3 different SU DSPs. I was mixin&matchin tonight! I'm going to try beate's sketch again tomorrow, and maybe this time it would be a good idea to write down her measurements! LOL! Have a good night!
