MOJO118 - Merry Christmas

Another MOJO Monday, another simple but yet cool MOJO Sketch! Love the simple design! The sentiment from this card is from the SU Season of Joy stamp set. I used some SU DSP, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red Cardstock, small felt flurries (also SU!) and a Making Memories Red Bling Brad. :)

Have a great night!

Simple Sketch ~ Simple Card

Greetings,

Made ONE card this weekend, must be getting close to Christmas! :) I got all of my wrapping done today. I discovered this year, that it takes longer to wrap presents when you have an 11 month-old niece to shop for! :-)

This sketch was this past week's MOJO Monday Sketch ~ and actually this has been one of my "go-to Sketches" for swaps and when I need to make more than a few cards. I like the sketch because you can really use it for either a horizontal or a vertical card. I used one of the december Inktegrity images and some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper. The snowflake border is a Martha Stewart Border Punch that I love. :-)

Hugs ~ Have a great evening!

Inktegrity Day 3 - Classy Shopper

Hello!

I hope you are enjoying all the Integrity new releases so far, they've been pretty frosty huh? Makes you want to turn the heat up and cuddle up with a nice warm blanket! Anyhow, it's day # 3 of the Inktegrity Releases, and all of these adorable snow people images are ready in the Inktegrity Store today.

Today's card using the new Classy Shopper image is also for the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog! Intkegrity is hosting the challenge this week, which was to use an Inktegrity Image, tag, hidden message and glitter! Yep that's a challenge alright. :-) So I came up with this hidden message card. I added a message on the tag (below) which pulls out from the side of the card. As you can see, I didn't miss out on putting a little pocket on the side to stash a little shopping cash for that classy shopper. :-)

Just a quick note about the glitter part, I used Terrifically Tacky Tape (Provo Craft) which is by the sheet (2 6"X8" adhesive sheets) and punched out a snowflake with my Marvy Snowflake punch. The Tacky tape is basically super sticky double-sided tape, and it's perfect for glittering up punches :-) I used SU! Cosmo glitter on my snowflake.

Have a great Tuesday!

Inktegrity Day 2 - Bear Hugs Pizza Box

Hello!

Time for another new Inktegrity image, and this time I did a little 3-d project, a mini pizza box. Super cute and easy I think. The box took about 4-5 minutes to cut, score and assemble. If you would like to try it, check out the tutorial on SCS. The box is 4" X 4" and 1" high, perfect for gift cards, jewelry, gift cards etc.

We use to have a store in McFarland called the Village Bear Shop located in the historic McFarland House while I was growing up.It's one of the oldest buildings in McFarland. The store had all the neatest Bears, and cute toys. For some reason, this cute image made me think of that store. I bought my first wood-mounted rubber stamp from there (which I still have!) , a teddy bear nonetheless! The store is long gone (a cute cafe now is in it's place), but I remember going there and being in awe of all the adorable (and some expensive) stuffed bears they had.

Be sure to check in with the other DT Blogs to see what cute stuff they have come up with using Bear Hugs ~ direct links are on the side bar.

Inktegrity Day 1 - Winter Wonderland

Happy Sunday! It's release day #1 for the mid-december Inktegrity Release. If you read my post from last night (below if you still haven't seen it!), the wintery snow theme is continuing on my blog (and outside ~ where there's over 16 inches LOL). This is Inktegrity's new Winder Wonderland image, isn't it precious? I decided to use a square card format (5.5" by 5,5") for this image & keep the colors bold and bright. This image would be perfect to use on a card for a little boy or girl to give to his Grandma, Aunt, or other special lady for the holidays! It would even make for a cute teacher card!

Be sure to check out the other Inktegrity ladies to see what they are doing with this cute new image:

TESC94 - Cozy Christmas

Good Evcning!

I thought I would keep the snow theme going, with a card for this weekend's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge (TESC94) using their "Home Sweet Home" set. :) Isn't the DP awsome? My SCS friend Kate sent it to me (Kaiser Crafts - Christmas Carnival Collections). I just love the colors and the patterns in this DP!

And if you love snow (and especially cute snow people) you will want to check in over the next few days, Inktegrity is releasing a few more images this month that will be sure to cause a "flurry" of excitement!

MOJO 116 - Inktegrity Style!

Here's my card for this week's MOJO Monday Sketch, love all these circles! I'm using an Integrity image (Sundae Best). It's hard to see in the card, but I embossed the white areas, and it's a little shimmery! :)

For those of you that are affected by mother nature's winter blessings this week, I hope you stay safe and warm. We have been getting hit hard with a major blizzard (16+ inches of pretty white snow with high winds and colder temps yet to come) . Most everything is shut down. So please be safe if you are out there on the roads.

Holiday Blue and Green

Good Morning!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. It's been a little chilly here, but no complaints! Here is my card for one of the Gina K Release Challenges over on SCS, Lee (LuvLee on SCS) challenged us to make a holiday card using blue and green as our primary colors. So here is my snowman card :-) For the snowman image, I stamped it on Gina K luxury White, cut it out with my nestabilities, colored it in, created a mask (using sticky notes) for it, then covered up the snowman with the mask while I stamped the snowflakes and sponged it. The blue snowflake is bashful blue cardstock, the green snowflake is Gina K Luxury White cardstock sponged with Kiwi Kiss (gives it a more softer look). The main image is from Warm Winter Wishes, designed by Carolyn King for Gina K Designs. I love all snowmen, but this one is becoming a really big favorite of mine!

Have a great day! :-)

Gina K Challenge - Pattern Embossing

Last week's Techinque Challenge over on StampTV was to create a card using Pattern Embossing. I'll be the first to admit, I'm normally intimidated by challenges that involve a multitple-step process! But Gina K's how-to video was so easy to follow, I had no problems at all. It was just a matter of making sure I had all of the items needed to complete the challenge. I used two Gina K Stamps Sets for this summer, the snowflakes come from Rupa's Magic of Christmas Set, and the bold stars come from Gina K's Lazy Days of Summer Set.

MOJO 115

Hello!

Here's my submission for this week's MOJO Monday Sketch, I pulled out a couple of old favorite SU Sets for this one. I love doing square cards, and this one measures 4.25".

I don't have the names of the DP's handy for this one, being trying to use up my scrap stash box which is getting pretty full :)

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Inktegrity Release Day!

Happy December!

Today all those sweet images I have been previewing the last two days go on sale at the Inktegrity Store (designed by Joni). I saved my favorite idea to use with these images for today's posts. One of the great thing I have discovered (no new news to anyone else) is how flexible digi images are, you can virtually make them ANY size you want. Most of the time when I design a card, I think the sentiment needs to be smaller than the image, so not the case here! Wouldn't this be a perfect card to give to your spouse? The black and pink makes more like a romantic Christmas card, and the sentiment "Some things were mint to be" is just perfect for that occasion. I also did not use traditional christmas DP for it, that beautiful shiny black DP is from a retired SU DSP called, Rockabilly. :-)

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hugs ~ LJ
