New Years Challenge!

Hello Hello -

Today's card is for a SCS Challenge Your Stash. Each month someone chooses a "challenge" for us to complete without buying any new stash (supplies) to create the card. Our challenge this month was to create a New Years Card that does not involve alcohol. So I pulled out a SU! Set that had some balloons in them, some glitter stuff and got busy! My table is full of glitter now - which is fine :) I love glitter. I'm glad I changed out of my work clothes before I started. Ha ha!

Anyways the balloons are embossed with Silver Zing Glitter Powder from American Crafts.  Underneath the white oval matted on silver Cardstock (gina k) is black glitter ribbon on top of black satin ribbon. The "2018" are Thickers Numbers........I have a whole bucket of these I have rarely used, so this was the perfect challenge to dig them out......so anyway the silver card stock is matted on black bazzill cardstock and then matted on a shiny hot pink card base from the Paper Cut (which I have had forever - going to keep those out as they will make great valentines card bases!

Ok that's it for now - have a happy new year! Hugs  ~LJ

Christmas Kitty

Hello Hello

During 2017 I participated in a simple Christmas Card kit swap. Over the course of the year, I received 6 kits containing 2 quarter sheets of pattern paper, and a few Christmas images to make a Christmas Card (or two) with. My last kit came from Heather . She picked out this darling Kitty image and some papers that coordinated perfectly with the greenery in the image. I colored the image and added some Real Red and Artichoke cardstock, along with some red ribbon and bling.

Thanks so much Heather for the cute kit!

Added some bling on the sentiment panel.

ATC Swaps

Hello Hello

I have been working on ATCS (Artist Trading Cards) recently for a swap instead of the standard cards. Today I am sharing the ones I have created so far. Being that I only need to make 3 of each category I could be a little more detailed/creative and make some "one of a kinds".

Theme: November/December

Used Graphic 45 papers, all fussy cut images are heat embossed with Stampendous EP

Theme: Mason Jars:

Used Basic Grey Bittersweet 6X6 Pad, Mason Jars are pre-cut from Recollections. Most of the patterned pieces are sponged with brown ink.

Duel - Hopping Along!

Hello Hello -

Welcome to this month's duel! Suzy and Debbie have come up with a great theme for this month's duel. Our them this month is hopping along. Here in Suzy's words is how the theme came about:

"Debbie and I were talking about our challenge for the dazzlers/divas and how busy people are these days. Hopping from one thing to another. And low and behold the light bulb lit up and we thought of the same idea...that's how sister's brains work you know.....Anyway we always hopping so frogs came to mind and we both had stamp sets with frogs!"

On a personal note, my sister and I rarely come up with the same idea, and when we do, it's usually not a good one! LOL! :-) So I am glad Suzy and Debbie are holding up that on their end :-)

Anyzoo, the stamps are from Penny Back.I colored the images with prismacolor pencils and used some gamsol and blending stumps to soften the coloring up.  I did both the outside (above) and inside (below) of my card. I think I need to add this froggy set to my wishlist. Toadilly Cute if you ask me!

SC669 - Frosty

Hello Hello

Been working on SCS Swaps this weekend, this card is for Barb's SNOW SNOW SNOW swap
I used SCS Sketch 669 for the layout.

The image (Frosty - Stampin Up) has been around a LONG time - since 2001 when it first came out. I just recently found the set at a rummage sale at a SU! event and I was so happy to add him to my collection. :)

MFTWSC365 - Best Witches

Hello Hello

Tonight I am sharing a card I made for this week's My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge. For my card I used the Little Witch PI girl (retired). I paper pieced her dress using patterned paper from the Doodlebug Designs Halloween Parade 6X6 pack. The rest of the image was colored with copics & I added a punched out velvet heart to her dress.  The bottom strip is also from the same pack. Then I used the MFT Fence and grass die-namics to give the cute girl  a little scenery. The the twine is from the Doodlebug Designs Halloween Pack.

Here is the inside of my card, more of the same patterned paper collection, and sentiment from another MFT Halloween set (Witch Way is the Candy)

The sketch is below:

SC667 Smitten Mitten

Hello Hello -

Today I am sharing a card  I made using some new goodies I got at Camp Stamp In Oga last weekend.  My SU! Demo Sarah holds a big SU! event 3X a year. It is always lots of fun, because I usually get to see some of my SCS Friends there (Barb is almost always there and Terry usually comes too!)

I made this card using some of the Quilted Christmas DSP And Ribbon that we call got as gifts for coming to the event. The dies and stamps are from Smitten Mitten / Many Mittens Framelits dies. At a previous event we made a different card using this set and I was in LOVE with it!

I used Splitcoast Sketch 665 for my layout! This is the 2nd of 4 sketch challenges I want to try this weekend!

Hello Hello

Today I am sharing my third card for Barb''s Birthday swap this is for the adult female category. I used the SU! Set Birthday Blooms. The inside is lined with an ivory quarter sheet. Gimme Chocolate!

Hello Hello

It's the 15th of the month so it's time for a duel between the divas and dazzlers. Terry S. is our Diva hostess this month, and we have a fun chocolate themed kit! I had fun playing with this kit! I don't make a lot of purple colored cards so this was  a challenge for me!

The Dueling Darlings are a group of friends from SCS that swap cards and beyond and formed a new group called the Dueling Darlings! Divided into Group A and B, which wasn't a cool name so we are now the Divas and the Dazzlers, have a montly rotating hostess kit that goes out to make cards! The Divas have one card kit to work with, while the Dazzlers have another! It's fun to see what we "duel" up in cardstock, papers and wonderful images!

September Duel - Gone Fishing

Hello Hello

Here for our monthly Duel between the Divas and Darlings Carol sent us a fun fishing themed kit to play with this month - had a lot of fun coloring this cute little fishing boy image. I fussy cut him out after coloring it and then started to make a little scene for him. I ended up using lots of the patterned paper (there were so many flavors I could just choose one or two). There are 5 patterns if you include the sky. :-) The base of the card is 5.5" square.

Christmas Card Kit!

Hello Hello ~
today I am sharing two cards I made with the July Crazy 4 Christmas kit I received from Tammy in Canada. Typically every other month, we are partnered up with another SCS Swapper and we send them a couple sheets of patterned paper and images to make Christmas Cards from. July is the exception to the rule, where we send our partners full kits - images, paper, ribbon, bling, buttons etc!

I really enjoyed creating with this kit - and I have more leftovers to play with! Thanks Tammy!
