TMS #541 - Happy Valentines Day

Hello Hello!

It's time for another Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge! This week it's Melissa's favorite and it's one of mine too! I love the doily off to the side. So much fun.

My card (this is the last valentine's card from me I promise!) features the Sealed With Love set from Stampin Up. I've used this set a lot this year for Valentines. I really love the font of the sentiments and didn't use it much when I got it. (So I guess I am making up for lost time - ha!). All of the patterned papers are from my "stash" which is slowly dwindling down.

Here is the sketch (designed by Debbie) if you would like to play along!

TMS #513 - Thinking of You

Hello Hello!

Today we have another fun Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge to play with!  Debbie is the creator of this week's sketch.

I decided to pull out my new "Rooted in Nature" set from Stampin Up that I got with my hostess benefits.  I used patterned paper from Basic Grey (Origins 6X6) pad, and two ink colors - Vintage Photo and Mowed Lawn (Tim Holtz Distress Inks). I fussy cut the leaves as I am still waiting for my coordinating dies to come (hopefully soon!). I also sponged the sentiment panel with the Mowed Lawn Ink, and added some twine and yellow enamel dots in the upper right hand corner.

Here is the sketch if you would like to try it out:

TMS 504 - Happiest of Birthdays

Hello Hello!

Welcome to Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge#504! This week Melissa has a really fun and unique sketch to play with! I have not really seen a sketch like this before so it was a good challenge for me!

Most of the supplies on my card are retired from Stampin Up. The patterned paper is form last year's occasions catalog. The twine was a door prize I won at Camp Stamp In Oga. The enamel dots are from Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby brand - I love these!) The stitched square frame is from My Favorite Things and the Wavy Stitched border is a Lawn Fawn Die.

Here is the sketch if you would like to play along!

TMS #483 Filed with Peace

Hello Hello!

It's time for another Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge!  I created a more simpler card this time using the Peaceful Poinsettia set from Stampin Up! The patterned paper is Graphic 45 from my scrap stash, The HollyIvy image is colored with Stampin Blend markers from SU (love these!) and cut out using my Scan-In-Cut 2 then popped up with dimensionals on confetti white panel.

I may recycle this sketch a few more times before Christmas for some personal Christmas Cards. It's so versatile!
You can find inspiration from the rest of the Design Team by checking out their links on the right side of my blog!

The sketch is right here if you would like to try it out!

Hello Hello!

Today I have a card to share for this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

I used a current Stampin Up Set - Night in Bethlehem. Papers and embellishments are from my stash.

Unidentified Image Swap #37

Hello Hello -

Today I am sharing my card for Unidentified Swap #37 (Yes 37!) on SCS. This is a Bi Monthly Swap, so that means we recently hit a SIX year milestone! I've been on this swap since the beginning.  Every other month we get a set of "unidentified images" from a hostess (this round is Vickie Y). We make 4 identical (or nearly the same) cards, and get 3 back. The hostess gets the extra card. Vickie sent us some fairy images from a retired Stampin Up set. I colored her with Copic Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol. The patterned paper is from KaiserCraft (Bubblegum Hills collection).

Mystery Swap #38

Hello Hello

Today I am a sharing a card I created (4 of them actually) for Mystery Swap #38. For each round a hostess sends us images (and a sentiment if they choose) to create 4 cards from. The 4 cards (usually identical) are sent to the hostess, she swaps them out, and sends 3 cards back out, along with images from the hostess for the next round.  So it's basically a Round Robin Card Swap.

This time around VickieY is our hostess and she sent some darling images and sentiment from a retired SU! Set "And Something Nice". I used my SU! Watercolor Wonder Crayons to color the image, and the patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs. I really enjoyed working with some bright colors for a change! January is always so dreary in Wisconsin, lots of overcast days (and usually a bit of snow).

I hope the recipients of my card like what I created this time around, and I'm looking forward to seeing the ones I get back in return!

MOJO430 - New Beginnings

Hello ~ Hello

Today I am sharing my card for a monthly swap I am in that Makani is hosting on SCS. Our February theme is "New Beginnings". Our card "requirements" are to use Stampin Up Stamps. I chose to use an older SU! Set called Nursery Necessities. For my card I used an oldie but goodie technique, using my SU! Markers to color directly on the rubber stamp image. I like that you can kind of see the streaks on the bottom of the boat, as most boats look like that. I used MOJO Monday Sketch #430 for inspiration.

Can't wait to see what I get back from this swap - although I will have to wait about a month to see them :) I finished these up early this time!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs ~ LJ

Summer Fun!

Hello Hello

Finally got around to creating (and sharing) this month's duel challenge between the divas and darlings! Carol and April are our June Hostesses & we have a Summer Fun challenge - with a twist - making a 3D project. Carol sent me a 3X3 box to use! I had so much fun putting this one together! I love doing 3D projects! The image is from an older SU! Set - Summertime Fun (one of my favorite sets - that I do not have)  I used nearly all of the pretty patterned paper she sent to cover the box and die-cut some flowers for the top. and I am in love with this striped ribbon she sent!

Here are a few more pictures:

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great summer fun day! Hugs ~ LJ

Dueling Divas

Hello ~ Hello

Here is my card for this month's dueling divas kit challenge - this month's hostess was Jamie.  This month's theme is masculine in honor of all the great men in our lives :) Of course my Dad would be the great guy in my life. :) He's always there encouraging me and supporting me when I need it the most (and also keeping me "grounded" which is not always so easy to do).

Jamie sent us a fun kit with images from SU! Open Sea. I really liked the boat image so that is what I went with. I used most of the adorable DSP that is from Bo Bunny. The only thing added to the card NOT from the kit is the blue cloud, which I punched out.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope you enjoyed my post for the day.......be sure to check out all the rest of the Duel (note you may need to scroll down a bit on their blogs, since I am posting 2 days late this month) :(

Flap Fold Card

Hello ~ Hello

Today I am sharing a fancy-fold card I made about a week ago, after I saw this posted on Beate's blog, Fresh & Fun. There is a video blog there too. :) I started with a chocolate chip base, and then build the card up based on Beate's measurements listed in her blog post. I use an older SU! Set, Very Versatile for my image and sentiments. The tricky part was the button clasp, I ended up using some dimensionals and pop-dots to get it to finally work. The finished size of the card is 4" X 5.5"

Below is the inside of the card:

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a terrific Tuesday!

MOJO180 - A is for Adorable

Hello ~

Here is my card for this past week's MOJO Monday Sketch Challenge (#180). I got out my sticky SU! Letters and tried some glitter for a change. I really love how this card turned out.  It might be the Pacific Point/Purely Pomegranate color combo though ~ bright and cheery makes me think of spring. The sentiment is retired from SU!

Thank You!

Hello,

Today's card I have to share is one of my spots in Barb's Thank You Swap over on SCS! The tree image is from Funky Four (SU!)  & sentiment is retired from SU! I used some print pattern DP, and lots of Rich Razzleberry :)

A good sign spring is finally coming, I was able to get out on to my patio and take the picture outside...there has been a lot of snowmelt this week, just hope it keeps melting!

Darlene's Swap Card

Hello!

Hope you all have had a marvelous weekend! My weekend was full of watching lots of the NFL Playoffs and getting some swaps done I have due in the next couple of months.

Above is a card I made (well 6 of them LOL) for Darlene's "Why Did I Buy This?" Swap on SCS. We were supposed to use supplies we had bought over a year ago, but never used. I didn't quite follow directions on this one (oopsie) but Darlene agreed to let me slide on through with this little adorable guy. I probably have not used this vibrant purple color though in over a year. I know the coordinating ink-pad is stashed away in the bottom of one of my drawers. I'm just not a "brights" person unless it's Pacific Point (and then I am all over it LOL). The image (so cute!) is from the SU! Set Happy Heart Day (retired). I dipped into my stash of flowers, older brads (I think these are from Making Memories, as I just found another unopened package today in my embellishment bins). The Ribbon is about 2 years old from SU! (retired).

New Purse.....Sorta....

Hello! Happy Friday! I thought I would share a few of my swap cards/ABACs I have been working on over the weekend. This card was made for Tracey's Top Note Swap. I took the Top Note Die and used some DP to make a purse to go on the front of a card. I just folded it at about 2/3 to the top, and cut off the very little excess from the back side that was showing. The sentiment is from a retired SU! Set, called First in Fashion. The DP is also retired from SU! (Hawaii Papaya).

Have a great day!

Happy First Birthday Tavi!

Today was my niece's FIRST BIRTHDAY. :) Octavia Pearl (Tavi) was born one year ago today, and can't believe how fast her first year went! Above is her Birthday card I made her using the SU! Set Crazy for Cupcakes. The cupcakes were colored in with Copic Spica Glitter pens (I got both sets at CHA!) The pattern paper is from DCWV (The Sweet mat stack).

Then these are the yummy confetti cupcakes I made for the party (yes I can bake a little!) Who doesn't love a little Elmo on their cupcakes??? :-)

Thanks for stopping by!
