Getting Caught Up...

Hello Hello 

I have been working on some swaps this weekend that are due near the end of the month. :)
This is for the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards swap" Every other month we have a new hostess and theme. Our April/May hostess is Terry S and the theme is "humor" I don't have a lot of "funny" stamps so I hope this one will qualify for this theme :) I used an older MFT set.

The second swap is for Terry's (same Terry!) monthly SU Swap. The theme this month is May Flowers. I used two Stampin' Up Sets - Flower Patch (leaves and sentiment) and Beautiful Bunch (large flowers with coordinating punch). I kept the card simple - no patterned paper (which is a rarity for me).

Anyway that's all I have for today! I'm not sure if I will have any posts the rest of the week as I have four high school games to "score". With all the crummy weather we have had lately (7 inches of snow last Wednesday) we have a TON of make-up games!

Think Spring

Today I am sharing a card I made for two challenges - Stamp TV Monthly Challenge (make a spring or Easter card)  and Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #333. The sketch is below. I used the Gina K Designs Stamp TV Kit Hearts and Flowers and Poppy Prints 6X6 paper from Gina K.  The kit is no longer available, however I believe you can purchase the individual sets soon on Gina's website.

Unidentified Image Swap #37

Hello Hello - 

Today I am sharing my card for Unidentified Swap #37 (Yes 37!) on SCS. This is a Bi Monthly Swap, so that means we recently hit a SIX year milestone! I've been on this swap since the beginning.  Every other month we get a set of "unidentified images" from a hostess (this round is Vickie Y). We make 4 identical (or nearly the same) cards, and get 3 back. The hostess gets the extra card. Vickie sent us some fairy images from a retired Stampin Up set. I colored her with Copic Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol. The patterned paper is from KaiserCraft (Bubblegum Hills collection).

DD - April Showers!

Hello Hello!

It's the 15th of the month so time for another Duel, This month's theme from Barb for (the Divas) and Tracie (for the Darlings) is April Showers.

I made two cards with this month's kit. The first card (above) was the first card I made, I colored the Whipper Snapper image in with my prisma & copic markers. for some reason I wasn't really happy with the finished card, so I got to work on a second card (below) which is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol. I like this one better for sure :)  I think the colors are a little more vibrant.

I am ready for spring for sure! I was just in Denver where it got up into the middle 70's the last two days. While I am writing this post (Saturday evening) it's about 30 degrees and we have a Winter Weather Advisory as Mother Nature is bringing us ice, sleet and up to 6" of snow overnight. Yikes.
