Happy New Years Eve

Hi there,

Just thought I would pop in quick and wish you all a safe and Happy New Year. I've been busy getting ready for the new year. My best friend is coming to visit from Milwaukee. We are going out to dinner and then come back here to my place to watch a movie. Tomorrow we'll be watching the Badgers in the Outback Bowl! :)

I'll try to post a card later...got a few more things to pick-up before I can do some stamping!

Happy New Year!

Badger Rantings

I thought I'd upload one of my favorite UW basketball pictures from this season so far. I took this at the UW-Valparaiso game on 12/22/2007. I don't get to many basketball games, but was able to get two tickets from a friend of mine (best seats I have ever had!) . UW won - 68-58 (although anyone who saw the game will tell you the Badgers looked pretty rusty and Valpo played much better!). #45 is Joe Krabbenhoft (shooting the ball). #3 is Trevon Hughes, our outstanding guard. Both are the future of the Badgers I think (sophmores). GO BUCKY!

Sunday Thoughts

Good evening, hope you all had a wonderful Sunday! Mine was great, visiting with family and watching the packers win, finishing off a 13-3 regular season.

Now that Christmas is over, I'm already thinking about Valentines Day cards. So here is a card, the layout is from a SCS challenge I found. I used the Holiday & Wishes, and Zoofari stamp sets. I just love this little monkey and he fits perfectly in the circle punches. The main colors are Cool Carribean, and Close to Cocoa, with a little Rose Red. Also used some pink gingham ribbon, and some brads from HL. :) My mom comments that my cards have so much layering in them, I guess that's the way my style is. Single layer cards are the toughest challenge for me. Oh and the cute paper is Loves Me (Retired SU).

Badger Hoopla

So, "my" badgers are down in Tampa preparing for the Outback Bowl to be played on New Years Day. I'm looking forward to watching the game! I've been a Badger fan most of my life...and this should be a great game. I was able to get to the last three badger home games this year. I saw the Badgers beat NIU, Indiana, and Michigan. Above is a picture from the NIU game, which I took from our seats. We were in the 2nd deck, but right on the 40 yard line. I like being up high like this because you can really see the plays develop!

Have a great night!

finally!

Here it is, my blog. :) Just thought I would pop in and say hello. Here I will be posting my thoughts, impressions, and ideas. My name is Laura, and I love crafting (stamping & scrapbooking) and sports. I love the Chicago Cubs, Wisconsin Badgers (football, basketball, and hockey), and Green Bay Packers. If I'm not playing with my stamps, I'm usually watching some game!

I'm a Stampin Up! Demonstrator (since August 2005).

So here is my first card post, using the new Happy Heart Day Set. I love this set and have been playing with it a lot this weekend. The main colors are bordering blue and purely pomegranate.

The coloring was done with Watercolor Wonder Crayons & a Blender Pen.

Hope you all have a happy new year!
