Happy Birthday Melissa
Good Morning! Today is my friend Melissa's Birthday! Happy Birthday! I know she occasionally pops in on my blog to see what I am up to so I wanted to make sure I gave her the necessary shout-out. Friday we celebrated her Birthday at work, by decorating her "space". It's a lot fun when someone has a Birthday at work! Anyhow, Melissa loves horses. so I wanted to make her a horse-themed Birthday card. I've been saving up a 6X6 pack of Wanted October Afternoon paper - so it was perfect for this card. The Ride 'em Cowboy image is from A*muse stamps the sentiment is from There She Goes Stamps. Ribbon and card stock are from SU. The mat behind the main image is dolly-duo die-namics from MFT. The chipboard flowers are also from October Afternoon (Wanted Collection). I used the May Sketch from Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT).
Thanks for stopping by ~ have a wonderful day! :)

What Women Want...
Hello -
Another swap card to share today, Barb's What Women Want swap over on SCS. I'm probably in the minority with most crafty peeps out there, but I'm not a sewing person. I love to see stitching on cards, it's amazing to me to be honest. I want to sew, but I'm hesitant about putting paper (or any other material) into one of those machines that have all those gadgets on them (Buttons, Knobs and Needles oh my!) So this swap became more of a what I WANT. :) I'm hoping to go down that road soon......maybe before I turn 40.....or 50..... Well you get the idea.... :) Anyzoo the good thing is I got to finally use an adorable Unity Set for this swap, Material Girl. Ahmm I just found another thing that women usually want, that cute little waistline on that main image. I'm so not getting there again.....I used some of the cute patterned paper from the SU! Occasions Catalog. Love bright colors this time of the year......
Thanks for stopping by ~ I'll have another post tomorrow ~ A birthday card for a co-worker that will make you want to giddyup and kick up your heels!

Hay There!
Here's my card for TESC 138 (Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #138. I used one of my favorite TE Stamp Sets - Udderly Sweet! I used the haystack ends of the image to "extend" the focal image out the ends of the card. The cute farmer cuppie is popped up. I used pattern paper from the October Afternoon Garden Variety Collection (love veggies with smiley faces on them!). My primary cardstock colors are Garden Green and Crushed Curry. I also used Basic Grey Brads & the SU! Scalloped Edge Punch. The tag with the sentiment is hand-created as I wanted something with a "tail".
Pardon the poor photography, not much natural light at 9:30 PM .....But I wanted to share this tonight....I'm thinking maybe I need to get my dummies book out and learn about my camera some more this summer. :-) So many "gadgets" with the camera I have (Canon EOS Rebel XSI) that i have not figured out yet....and I have had it for over a year now.....Gee whiz!

Riley Pizza Box
Hello ~
Today I am sharing my entry for the latest Riley & Company Challenge, which was to create a gift box. I used the adorable Rainy Day Riley as my focal image for this box. The box measures 4"X 4" X 1" deep, and guess what? There's a supah dupah easy tutorial for it... here on SCS :) All you really need to create the box is some strong adhesive, a 6X'11" sheet of card stock, and a scoring tool....I used my score-pal. I used Lovely Lilac, Pixie Pink, and Tempting Turquoise card stock. The SU! patterned paper, Flowers For You, is from the Summer 2008 Catalog. I also used a border punch, Labels 17 Spellbinders die, bling, and some 1" turquoise gingham ribbon. Riley was stamped on Gina K Luxury White Luxury card stock, colored with copics, with the exception of the umbrella which is paper-pieced.
Below is another photo of the mini pizza box which shows some of the dimension and depth (and yes, a gift card fits in this box!)

Celebrate Summer Swap
Hello there ~
Getting closer to summer here, finally.....Although I was wondering if we were going right back to fall this weekend. It was BRRR chilly and windy ~ I needed a winter hat when I was outside.....So Saturday night I warmed up a bit by working on my swap card for Barb's Celebrate Summer. I used a Stamping Bella stamp and sentiment - this is Surfer Fella. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black on Gina K white and colored it in with my copics. My color combination is So Saffron, Not Quite Navy, and Kiwi Kiss. The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye - Good Day Sunshine Collection - Beach Huts. I think this paper is so cute! The patterned paper is double-sided, so what you are seeing is both sides of the paper on my card. I also used some twine, a silver brad, and the SU! Word Window Punch. The sentiment was stamped with Not Quite Navy SU! Ink.

Dueling Darlings - May 2011
Good Morning!
It's time for another monthly duel between the divas and darlings.....This month Carol is our hostess and the theme is ~ Java Time (Coffee!). For those of you that don't know, I am not much of a coffee fan..... I tried it once....But I love Starbucks. I Just love the people watching, and the smell.....My nose LOVES coffee beans......So I'll go there (especially in the winter) and have a Grande Salted Carmel Hot Chocolate or a Grande Hot Chocolate with Peppermint. Yummo!
So I had so much fun playing with this month's kit (and I don't even like coffee - LOL!), not only are is the focal image (Stamping Bella) absolutely fab, I'm also in love with the papers and accessories Carol chose! Thank you Carol! :-)
This theme was chosen because the Diva's and Darlings are giving a big shout out to the two ladies that are the "creators" of our little challenges, Jeanette and Kelly. Kelly is our "Queen Diva". Both Jeanette and Kelly are coffee fans! These ladies put so mucht time and effort in to keeping our divas and darlings going, from keeping in everyone in the loop as to who is hosting each month, and getting everyones info together and keeping it updated! In addition, they are there to listen to us when we have had a bad day and celebrate when we have had fantastic days.....
I hope you enjoyed my post for today, Please check out the other Darling Diva's as well ~ to see what flavor of coffee they have on their blog waiting for you:
Thanks for stopping by ~

PS would you like to see everything that came in this fantastic kit? Just check out the picture below! Just so much goodness.......lots leftover to use for another project. :)

The sentiment is from There She Goes Stamps - Holidays Galore.

School's Out (well almost!)
Hello friends ~
I decided to play with the latest Riley & Company Blog challenge ~ to celebrate National Teacher's Day (which was May 3rd). In advance, I apologize for the photograph of my card, I finished it after dark this evening ~ couldn't get the right lighting. My School Girl Sophie image was the perfect choice for this challenge. I used some pattern paper from October Afternoon (Report Card & Campfire Collections) along with a coordinating border sticker (also from the OA Report Card Collection). My cardstock is from Gina K Designs, Ribbon is from SU! and I used a spiral clip from Creative Impressions. I also used a SU Open Scalloped Edge punch on the bottom of the card. Sophie was stamped with memento tuxedo black on a MFT Perfect Paper Panel and colored in with copics. I also used pop-dots to pop up the main image over the base of the card. I'm also entering this card in Jessie's Forgotten Stamp Friday Challenge #21. Just love checking out her work!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Take Me Away (MFTWSC18)
Hello ~
This card was created for My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge (#18). It wasn't had to get crafty tonight after coming home from work and finding some new MFT goodies to play with tonight. :) I used Inspired By - Up, Up, and Away for the main images and sentiment. I also used Spellbinders Circle Dies, and one of the new MFT Die-Namics - Decorative Dolly Duo (there are two dies in the set, I used the larger one on my card - which is about 3" at it's widest point). Most of the patterned paper is from My Minds Eye (share from mom ~ always good to have a paper lover within the immediate family!). The pattern paper I used for the balloon is from Echo Park (I think). I used basic Grey Brads, the SU! Horizontal Slot Punch, and the SU! Modern Label Punch (they work really well together as you can see!)
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day!
Hello ~
Happy Mother's Day to all moms, grandma's, aunties, sisters and those who are moms to others.......The card I am sharing today is the card I created for my mom this year. I used two sets from Gina K Designs, the coffee cup image is from Mugs and Kisses and the sentiments are from Notes to Mom. I used patterned paper from the Nook & Pantry 6X6 Pad (Basic Grey). The brads are from Basic Grey, and the white fibers are from American Crafts. On the inside of my card, I used another sentiment from Notes to Mom, more Basic Grey Brads, Spellbinders Labels Ten, and the EK Success For Sale Sign Punch. The For Sale Sign Punch is one of my new "favorites". I want to use it on every card I make. :) I got it at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon about 3 weeks ago. Just LOVE it!
Below is a photo of the inside of the card. Thanks so much for stopping by!
