Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #145

Hello ~ Hello

I hope you are having a terrific Tuesday! While I had planned to finish decorating my tree tonight, I some how stuck at my craft table for awhile creating the above card. This cutie is from Crafty Secrets,  "Christmas Mail".  I was disappointed to find out recently they are discontinuing their clear cling line of stamps, they have some very cute vintagy sets!

The little girl was stamped with memento tuxedo black on PTI Cream White, and colored in. I layered her on a circle spellbinder and large scalloped spellbinder dies. The patterned paper I used is from the Teresa Collins Christmas Home 6X6 stack (thanks mom for sharing!). White Ribbon is from Gina K Designs, the Green Polka Dot Ribbon is from PTI (just love polka dot on polka dot!) I also used a spellbinders label die for the sentiment, and the snowflakes are from spellbinders as well. The Glimmer Brad is from American Crafts.

This being entered for the following challenge that is currently open:

Trio of Tags

Hello ~ Hello

I hope you are enjoying your Monday after Thanksgiving. I could eat thanksgiving leftovers for another two weeks easily. So delicious!

My post today is a trio of tags I created using a Just Rite Stampers Set, Whimsical Christmas The sentients at the bottom are again from PTI's Holiday Button Bits (I pretty much keep this set on my desk during the Christmas season, have you noticed how much I use it?? LOL)

I started off by stamping the images in memento tuxedo black on PTI White. I colored and punched them out with a 1.5" circle punch. The other two circles I die-cutted with my spellbinders circle dies. The bottom red layer is Spellbinder's Floral Doily Motifs. This die set is absolutely beautiful! The Gable Green tags are Spellbinder's Labels 8.  I still cannot believe Stampin Up retired this green color, one of my favorites, especially this time of the year. The ribbon and Jumbo Eyelets are also from Stampin' Up.

These tags are being entered for two challenges that are currently open:

I've got some individual pictures of my tags posted below, thanks for stopping by!

Glittery Noel

Hello ~ Hello

Mom loaned me her PaperCrafts - Holiday Cards and More special issue to browse through for some ideas. This is one of the cards I created from the inspiration received from the magazine.

The pattern paper is from Crate Paper (Peppermint Collection). Glitter Letters are from Stickles, I used a Gluber, Red Ribbon, and SU! brad to create the flower. Cosmo Cricket has a tutorial on how to use Glubers HERE. I absolutely LOVE them. I used the 1" size. I don't buy many prima flowers anymore because of these. I can just create my own :)

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

MFT WSC #47

Hello ~ Hello

Hope you are all having a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend, I have been enjoying mine so far ~ been playing with my new computer. Love it so far. It's definitely easier to write blog posts, view stamping tutorials, etc. I am sure I will find some "important" things to do with it as well. LOL!

Today's card was created for MFT Sketch #47. I decided to get away from creating a Christmas card for a change and this is what I came up with. The pattern paper & tag are from the October Afternoon Ducks in A Row collection. I love how this tag has a little scene on it already. I used an adorable Pure Innocence Image "apple for you", colored her in with copics, and then popped her up on the tag. My satin ribbon is from Stampin' Up, and my brads at the top are from Basic Grey.

It's supposed to be damp and rainy tomorrow, so maybe (just maybe) mother nature will see this and think it is supposed to be a beautiful day.....lol

Holiday Tag Swap!

Hello~Hello

This week is going by very fast for me ~ almost the weekend! Hooray! I've been working on these Christmas Tags for Kate's Tags~n-Bags swap. The red tags are retired from Stampin' Up (Love Notes I think?)  This is the first time I have used them for Christmas Tags.....I used stamps from Papertrey Ink (Holiday Button Bits), some retired Stampin! Up DSP, ribbon, and PTI Vintage Holiday Buttons.  I'm entering this for this week's challenge on the Pink Elephant Blog, which is to create a tag!

Below is what the inside of the tag looks like. It's hard to see from this picture, but I made a extra half-inch score-line from the middle (which came scored) on the front of the tag. I did this so that I the tag could be opened more easily, since I needed to punch a hole through the top to add my ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs ~ LJ

MFTWSC44

Hello~Hello

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Haven't posted much lately as I was vacationing in sunny Arizona last week. Wonderful trip (pictures to share later ~ just need to go through them all).

I'm not totally ready for winter, especially after just warming up in the southwestern sun, but I need to get a head start on some Christmas cards and projects. I came up with this for the latest MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge over on SCS. The stamps I used are from MFT (Pure Innocence Snow Day - so adorable!) I used Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, PTI Vintage Cream and PTI Kraft for my card-stock colors. I usually use PTI White on most of my cards, but I thought I should try some off-white colors for a change. :) I also used lots of patterned paper from the Basic Grey Wassail collection (6X6 pack), MFT Jumbo Scallop Dienamics, Oval & Scalloped Spellbinders, and a couple of SU! Punches with the sentiment, which was stamped in Cherry Cobbler. The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with copics/prismacolor markers. I also used a silver brad, and some Riding Hood Red SU! Ribbon. The card base is 4.75" square.

Have a great day ~ Hugs ~ LJ
