Cheers!

Hello Hello

I had a little extra time this morning so I decided to try the latest Monday Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is  "Cheers". I haven't played with my Tim Holtz Cocktails Blueprints set yet - so this was the perfect challenge for it.

I colored the image with Stampin Blends then added a few layers of Clear Embossing Powder:

The sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set.

Gina K Monthly Mix it Challenge

Hello Hello ~
I played with a few challenges tonight and I thought I would share what I came up with.

The Gina K Designs Monthly Mix It Challenge for this month is "My Sentiments Exactly"  What it means for the challenge is to use a sentiment ONLY!  No stamped image or patterned paper image is to be used at all!

I thought this would be very challenging for me - I LOVE patterned paper and using colored images on my card. Then I remembered I had Gina's  "A Very Merry Christmas" set - and I saw THIS sketch from the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown  and thought I would give it a try. The most challenging part was spritzing the ink on to the Gina K Luxury Heavy Weight Cardstock - took a few tries - as I tend to over spritz.

Here is the sketch, I did a traditional A2 (5.5 X 4.25) sized card instead of a square card:

Winter Robins

Hello hello

Haven't been able to craft much due to work training, but now that I am home (for at least 4 weeks) I'll be getting caught up on some crafty-business.

I made the above card from a card kit I received from a member (Shelly) of the Crazy 4 Christmas Group. Every other month we send a kit to a designated partner. Our July month is our "Christmas in July Celebration" where we send our partner a full kit (usually it's just images and patterned paper) Shelly sent me SO many embellishments, there was no way I could use them all on this one card!

The image is from PSX (Winter Robins) and is colored with SU! Watercolor Crayons and SU! Blender pen.

I would like to enter this card in the below challenges:

New Years Challenge!

Hello Hello -

Today's card is for a SCS Challenge Your Stash. Each month someone chooses a "challenge" for us to complete without buying any new stash (supplies) to create the card. Our challenge this month was to create a New Years Card that does not involve alcohol. So I pulled out a SU! Set that had some balloons in them, some glitter stuff and got busy! My table is full of glitter now - which is fine :) I love glitter. I'm glad I changed out of my work clothes before I started. Ha ha!

Anyways the balloons are embossed with Silver Zing Glitter Powder from American Crafts.  Underneath the white oval matted on silver Cardstock (gina k) is black glitter ribbon on top of black satin ribbon. The "2018" are Thickers Numbers........I have a whole bucket of these I have rarely used, so this was the perfect challenge to dig them out......so anyway the silver card stock is matted on black bazzill cardstock and then matted on a shiny hot pink card base from the Paper Cut (which I have had forever - going to keep those out as they will make great valentines card bases!

Ok that's it for now - have a happy new year! Hugs  ~LJ

Cheerful Sketches Challenge - December

Hello Hello ~

Today's card is for this month's Cheerful Sketch Challenge The sketch is below which I flipped 90 degrees and then moved the long rectangular panel over a little bit so that I could add a sentiment.
I used images and sentiments from the Gina K Home for the Holidays StampTV kit from 2016.
The patterned paper is all from Basic Grey (Wassail 6X6 Pad). I used Fresh Asparagus ink for the trees, and Gina K Red Hot ink for the sentiment. The bling on the oval frame is from Stampin Up.

Here is the sketch:

Witchy Girl

Hello Hello ~

I was too tired to post this last night when I finished it, but I knew I had to post this one tonight because this Little Witch PI image from MFT is so stinkin' cute!

I created this card for MFTWSC90 (sketch) and this week's Twisted Tuesday Challenge, which was to include something on your card that can fly. I have no idea if this little girl can fly, but she does have a broom to try to fly.....Maybe you will see her flying around her neighborhood late next month. :)

Here is the inside of my card. I used patterned paper from Basic Grey (Eerie 6X6 pad) on both the outside and inside of my card.

Here's the sketch for the challenge:

New Challenge Blog!

Hello ~ Hello

I'm playing along this week with a relatively new challenge blog - Twisted Tuesdays.  This week's theme is "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden" which requires a card/project with flowers without using roses or rosettes. This was the perfect challenge for me as I needed a couple of Birthday cards for some friends at work this week.

My first card is above, using Big Greetings from MFT. The Flower Die is from SU!, DP is from SEI (Happy Day Collection)

My second card (below) uses more of the same patterned paper that I used on the first card. I also used MOJO Sketch 236 for this card, the sentiment is from an older SU! set. The button and twine are also from SU!

Here's the MOJO Sketch if you would like to play along too:

Thanks for stopping by today, have a super day! Hugs ~ LJ

SFYTT - February

Hello ~ Hello

I hope you are having a splendid Saturday so far, the sun is shining brightly here in Wisconsin. I'm elated to not to have to turn the heat on in February. :)

Today's card is for February's Sketch For You To Try. I love how this lil friendship card turned out! I used a cling-mount set from Stampendous today. This one of my all time favorite sets. Changito is such a cutie! The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with prism markers. The main image is matted with Blossom Spellbinders Dies. I used some circle punches for the  elements on the side, and then added a couple of Basic Grey brads for embellishments on the corners. The patterned paper I used is from MME // Lime Twist // Out of The Blue collection.

The sketch is below, thanks for stopping by! Hugs ~ LJ

MFTWSC54 - Roll With It

Hello ~ Hello

Here is my card for this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge (#54) over on SCS! I had so much fun paper-piecing the adorable Roll With it Pure Innocence cutie! My papers are from MME - Lime Twist - Out of the Blue 6X6 pad. I also used some red/white baker's twine, and the button is from basic grey. I hand-cut the banner flag since I don't have any dies (yet I want some that's for sure! )
