SFYTT June 2012

Hello ~ Hello!

Here is my card for this month's Sketch For You To Try.  I used some of my new PTI Stamps - On The Farm. I bought the dies with the stamp set, so the horse was super easy. The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye, ribbon from American Crafts, bling brads from SU!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! Hugs ~ LJ

MAY 2012 SFYTT

Hello ~ Hello

I'm back with this month's Sketch For You To Try Challenge. It's a great sketch. I love sketches that I can use a lot of patterned paper on. :) The Images are from My Favorite Things (Up Up and Away)  I also used the coordinating die-namics  Lately I have been finding myself buying LESS stamp sets, but the ones I do buy, I buy the coordinating dies if they have them.  It makes it so much easier to create and get more out of one set.  When this set came out MFT was not selling die-namics yet. I use this set more now that I have the dynamics to go with it, because I don't have to fussy-cut the balloon images.

All of the other supplies are retired from SU! (Ribbon and DSP). The rectangle die-cuts are from spellbinders.

Thanks for stopping by, the sketch is below! Hugs ~ LJ

SFYTT - February

Hello ~ Hello

I hope you are having a splendid Saturday so far, the sun is shining brightly here in Wisconsin. I'm elated to not to have to turn the heat on in February. :)

Today's card is for February's Sketch For You To Try. I love how this lil friendship card turned out! I used a cling-mount set from Stampendous today. This one of my all time favorite sets. Changito is such a cutie! The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with prism markers. The main image is matted with Blossom Spellbinders Dies. I used some circle punches for the  elements on the side, and then added a couple of Basic Grey brads for embellishments on the corners. The patterned paper I used is from MME // Lime Twist // Out of The Blue collection.

The sketch is below, thanks for stopping by! Hugs ~ LJ

SFYTT - January 2012

Here's my card for Jen's Sketch for You To Try for January. I had a lot of fun putting this one together, as I love cards with lots of layers. The adorable image is from Stamping Bella. I totally need to add some Birthday cards to my stash right now. The patterned paper is from Crate Paper (6X6 Pad - Neighborhood collections. I added a spiral clip, some SU! Kiwi Kiss Ribbon, and some Basic Grey Brads for embellishments.  The green panel was embossed with a CB Swiss Dot folder.

Below is a close-up of the main image that I colored:

SFYTT July 2011

Hello again ~

Back today with a second post :) I wanted to make sure I got my SFYTT July Sketch done! :)

For this card I used one of my favorite sets from Paper Trey Ink,  "Up Up and A Way" which has coordinating dies that can be purchases separately. I used the balloon die on my card, makes crafting so much easier!  The DP is retired from SU!

Please scroll down to the next post if you would like to see my MFT Sketch Card I posted earlier today.

Thanks again for stopping by!

SFYTT - June 2011

Hello Friends ~

Here is my card for this month's Sketch For You To Try Challenge. It also happens to be my card for Michele's Papertrey Ink (PTI) swap on SCS, which means I've already used the sketch six times.....Ha!

I used a PTI set that was only at Summer 2010 CHA - called Four of A Kind. This is one of my favorite floral sets. My patterned paper is from SU! Prints 6X6 pack. Ribbon is also from SU! (Dusty Durango), the brads are from Hobby Lobby. The flower is stamped with Not Quite Navy & the stem is stamped with Always Artichoke. I used spellbinders circles and scalloped circles. The base and scalloped circle are Terracotta Tile (PTI), and the other cardstock is Not Quite Navy. I also used a Not Quite Navy SU! Button in the middle.

Thanks for stopping by ~

Hugs ~ LJ
