Simple Easter Card

Evening Everyone! 

Hope you had a fantastic weekend! They go by too fast for me. I never seem to get everything done that needs to be done. 

Tonight I'm sharing a very simple Easter Card I made for the Weekend Sketch Challenge. These images are from a Gina K Designs set called Easter Blessings, that Rupa Shevde designed. I'm totally in love with this cross. It's so beautiful. 

I inked the cross with Mellow Moss and Close to Cocoa SU Markers. The sentiment is stamped with Close to Cocoa.  For the embossed portion of the card I used the Textile Texture A2 Embossing Folder.

Happy Saturday!

Isn't this long-necked fellow a cutie? He's in the "Its A Jungle Out There" set by MFT (My Favorite things). I made this card last week for a MFT swap I am in. I've had this DP forever it seems. I got it a long time ago from a CM party but it's perfect for this card. I also used my new long rectangle nestabilities, and my SU oval punches. 

I've got a list of challenges to work on this weekend so stay tuned! :)

Monday's Try a New Technique challenge on SCS was this cute little easter basket. It was really easy to put together! The lily image is from Easter Blessings (Gina K Designs). I colored it in using Koh-I-Noor Pencils and Gina K OMS.

CC211 Mojo79 ~ For Mom

Good Evening! 

I put this card together tonight for two challenges, Color Combo 211 (Pretty in Pink, Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss) and this week's Mojo Sketch Challenge. 

I love these colors together - it's pouring rain here, so I so needed to work with some springy colors tonight! 

I used two Gina K Designs Stamp Sets, the floral image is from Comfort & Peace, and the Sentiment is from Spring Blooms. The floral image was inked with SU Markers (pretty in pink, old olive and rose red)

Easter Anya Notebook

Hello! Sorry I have not posted much the last few days, I've had company all weekend! Joy (aka daiseyfreak on SCS) has been staying with me this weekend since a business trip brought her here for a few days! I've had so much fun with her here, going shopping for stamps and paper and hanging out! We are both so tired right now but it's been such a fun weekend! 

Here is one of the swaps I have been working on this weekend, it's an Easter ABAC swap on SCS. Joy introduced me to the digi images over at The Greeting Farm and I just love Easter Anya! We found these Journal Albums at the $1 spot in Michael's. The pattern paper is from DCWV Nana Kids!

Words of Emerson

Good evening! 

Have to admit, I'm usually not much into the SU Level 1 Hostess Sets, they never really inspire me much. I was thrilled when they started having Prints Packs and Simply Scrappin Kits as an option. This one is an exception though, called God's Beauty. I just love the butterfly image in this set.

This is the 2nd card I made for HippieAud's SAB/Hostess Swap on SCS. I used Rose Red and Certainly Celery together for the color combo.

MOJO Monday Sketch #78

Happy Monday again! 

I'm actually posting my card for Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge on a Monday. I got a little Sellabration going on too....This card uses the set Polka Dot Punches, Delicate Dots DSP, and Saffron Ribbon all from the 2009 SAB Collection. The sentiment is from Fundamental Phrases and I anchored the sentiment with a yellow Basic Grey brad.

I'm making this card for SAB/Hostess Set swap on SCS. This sketch was the perfect fit for this card.

Crabby Notebook

I made some of these notebooks for a beach-themed swap I am in. This is one of my favorite Gina K Sets, Just Be Claws. I think it is one of her first sets that came out. (it was the first Gina K set I bought actually). I just love this image. I binded the notebook together with my CarlaCraft Binding System, which I got at a scrapbook/stamping expo in November, it's the first time I've used it & I really love the how easy it is to use. I need to get some more of this Basic Grey Cupcake paper too! It's so bright and fresh for summer projects!

Spring Challenge

Hi Everyone, 

Here is the other challenge card I did for the Gina K Designs March Release. We were supposed to make a spring card. I used Easter Blooms, and colored the image with Koh-I-Noor Pencils & Gina K OMS. 

I usually don't use pastel colors on cards, but I wanted to use something bright. I have a lot of SU Print Patterns paper I need to start using up!

Hey Cupcake!

Hi Everybody! 

Hope you are enjoying your weekend, the sun is out here, and it's gonna be close to 50! Yay spring is finally here. 

Gina K had release party on Thursday Night, so it's Gina K Challenge time! I made this card for the sketch challenge, using Sweetest Blessings. I am soo LOVING this cupcake stamp! I colored in with Koh-I-Noor Pencils and Gina K OMS. 

I think I'm gonna go get out for awhile and enjoy the nice weather! Tomorrow I will post my other Gina K Challenge card....

Hoppy Tuesday

Greetings! 

This is the card I came up with for Gina K's OMS Tutorial Challenge over on Stamp TV. I used Gina K Odorless Mineral Spirits and Kooh-i-Noor Pencils to color in the bunny and balloons. The purple heart balloon was popped up for al little extra dimension. I used two Gina K Sets for this card, So Hoppy and So Hippy.

I love doing sketches with square grids, so this weekend's sketch from Taylored Expressions was right up my alley. I used two new sets that will be in the SU Occasions Mini Catalog, Forest Friends and Oval All.  The size of the card is 4.75" X 6".

MFT IDOL Audition

I figured, I can't sing, so there's no reason to audition for American Idol, but MFT (My Favorite Things) Idol? Lets see, ok I can try to come up with something (after a few SCS friends dragged me into the studio, I found out my stamping stage fright was really not that bad LOL!)

This idea came into my head last night, I had the Ride Em Cowgirl set (which actually is my favorite MFT Set!) and wanted to do a cute tag attached to a yunmy bag of candy,but what kind of candy??? so I thought, and voila! gotta do Jolly Ranchers to keep with the western theme! :) The second picture is the inside of the tag, which I also decorated.

So here it is! :) Maybe I won't make it to the next round (insert sarcastic Simon comment here) but I think I gave it a pretty good shot! Now just don't ask me to sing!

Soft Birthday

Here is another card with the Very Versatile Set. This is going to be one of my demo swap cards. I used Night of Navy, Mellow Moss, and Baja Breeze for this color combo. The main stamp was stamped in Baja Breeze and Night of Navy. The horizontal strip at the bottom and the stamped oval is more of the Walk In the Park DSP.

Wishing You Happiness

Happy Day! My SU pre-order for the Occasions Mini came today, and couldn't wait to play with my new stamps tonight. This card uses the new Very Versatile Set. I also used some of the new Walk In the Park DSP that will be in the new mini. I really like the set, because just like the title it's very versatile (LOL). There are sentiments for birthday, thanks, Wedding (or anniversary). and sympathy cards. I really needed a set like this for my card-making!
