StampTV Sketch
Hello ~
Here is my card for this week's StampTV Sketch Challenge. I purchased Melanie's "Mugs & Kisses" from Gina K Designs recently. Such a FUN set to play with! I can see it working well with a lot of other Melanie's sets I currently have. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey (Pyrus Collection). Just love all the rich colors in this collection. :)

PTI Swap - Easel Card
Hello ~
Tonight I thought I would share my "non-traditional" card for the PTI Lover's Swap on SCS. I created some easel cards, using a great tutorial over on SCS. For my swap I used a color combination that is totally out of my comfort-zone, Melon Mambo & Kiwi Kiss. I use Kiwi Kiss a lot, but my pack of Melon Mambo is quite full. The floral images are from the stamp set "Four of A Kind" which is was only available at the 2011 Summer CHA Show. This happens to be my favorite floral set right now. I just love the two-step stamping of the leaves and flowers.....Super easy! The sentiment is from "Everyday Button Bits".
Here's also a photo from the side - so you can see the "easel" effect. It's a really fun card to make (and the tutorial explains how to make it so well)

MOJO174 - Love Is In The Air
Hello,
Here is my MOJO 174 Sketch card for this week :) I picked out one of my Unity sets that has not been used very much "Love Is In the Air" for my card. The hot air balloon image is stamped directly on the card base. The red and white linen thread used on the buttons was gifted to me recently by my friend Michele (thank you!) What a great sketch for a quick card or two! I've added a recipe below for those interested.

MFTWSC#2 - Snow Day
Hello,
I wanted to play in this week's MFT Sketch Challenge, and this Snow Day PI (from MFT) seemed very appropriate considering it's snowing like crazy in Southern Wisconsin today!
I used patterned paper and brads from the Basic Grey Bittersweet Collection. The Snow Day image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with a combination of Prismacolor/Copic Markers & popped up. The pink ribbon on the card is from SU! (mini from a couple of years ago). I used chocolate chip, rose red, and pretty in pink card stock. The sentiment is stamped in chocolate chip, and then I created the banner with my paper snips.

Darlene's Swap Card
Hello!
Hope you all have had a marvelous weekend! My weekend was full of watching lots of the NFL Playoffs and getting some swaps done I have due in the next couple of months.
Above is a card I made (well 6 of them LOL) for Darlene's "Why Did I Buy This?" Swap on SCS. We were supposed to use supplies we had bought over a year ago, but never used. I didn't quite follow directions on this one (oopsie) but Darlene agreed to let me slide on through with this little adorable guy. I probably have not used this vibrant purple color though in over a year. I know the coordinating ink-pad is stashed away in the bottom of one of my drawers. I'm just not a "brights" person unless it's Pacific Point (and then I am all over it LOL). The image (so cute!) is from the SU! Set Happy Heart Day (retired). I dipped into my stash of flowers, older brads (I think these are from Making Memories, as I just found another unopened package today in my embellishment bins). The Ribbon is about 2 years old from SU! (retired).

Dueling Divas #6
Hello ~
It's time for another duel between the Divas and Darlings......and Judy is our wonderful hostess this month. The above card was made with her card kit, using "Edna Kicking Up Her Heels" from Rubbernecker Stamps. I colored the image with prismacolors and copics. Since the image was going to be a little larger than the oval spellbinders die I wanted to use, I cut it out and layered it over another white oval. Judy sent a more than generous amount of embellishments and ribbon for this month's kit, it was so fun going through it all and deciding which elements to use, but I chose some ribbon, orange rain dots, a purple adhesive gemstone, and a yellow glitter brad. The pattern paper is all from Judy as well.
The theme this month is to "Fun and Laughter ~ Forever After", and to use the kit to create a humorous card to celebrate the New Year. We've also been asked to share a resolution or two for 2011. Up to creating this card, I haven't thought much about resolutions....but after searching for my camera battery for 20 minutes (and not finding it yet, the picture was taking with my cell phone ~ hee-hee!) I know I would like to be more organized and know where things are when I need them. :-) I'd like to also have a goal of being more energetic and active in the coming year (my way of saying exercise) but I think I wish for that every year and just don't really think it.....I just try to start year year on the positive note and try to carry it out through the year.....
I hope you enjoyed my post for today, Please check out the other Darling Diva's as well,
Judy is next on the list

Just thought I would pop in quick this evening and share my MFT Sketch Card submission for this week. This cute Pure Innocence set (You Give Me Wings) arrived today in my mailbox and is so adorable. I created the swing with a scrap of brown cards stocked. punched a couple holes, and threaded the twine through the back. Wheeeee!

MFT - SFYTT Sketch January 2011
Hello ~
I hope you all have had a bright and cheery 2011 so far. I love the new year, especially since in January I have a very special birthday to celebrate at the end of the month. My niece will be two years old on January 30th. It makes the long winter month go by much faster when there is special day to look forward to! So I will probably be in a Birthday-theme card-making mood all month. :-)
My card for the day is a Birthday themed card (surprise!)....I used the MFT Pure Innocence Birthday stamp set for the image and sentiment. The dress and crown on the image is paper pieced (the Xyron Create-A-Sticker machine works great for paper-piecing cards like this ~ it's one of the crafting tools of mine that never leaves my craft desk). I used some pattern paper from SEI (Happy Day 6X6 collection ~ so adorable!) and some satin pink ribbon.
This card was entered for two challenges: Crazy 4 Challenges (Celebrate) and I {heart}2 Stamp's Monthy Sketch Challenge (SFYTT-January 2011). I'm a little late on the MFT WSC for this past week (Party), but it would fit that challenge also :-)
Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, thanks again for stopping by. :)

MOJO 171 - VIntage MFT
Hello,
I made this card last week for MOJO Monday 171. I used MFT's Pure Innocence Image (4-Leaf Clover) and patterned paper from a 6X6 Cosmo Cricket paper stack (Circa 1934 collection). The little girl's outfit was paper-pieced & the rest of the image was colored in with prismacolor & copic markers.

On The Bucky Wagon
Happy New Year!
As this is my first post of 2011 ~ I'd like to thank the followers of my stamping travels throughout 2010. I'm very thankful for those of you that took the time out of your day to come visit my blog. I read every one of the comments you post, and they all mean a lot to me.....
This weekend was an up and down roller coaster of fun-filled memorial football events, surely an exciting beginning to the new year for me.
First my beloved Badger Football team participated and fought hard in the 2011 Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Although they did not come out on top, they showed true Badger pride and passion and played the game with a 200% effort. I created the above Bucky Wagon on New Years Eve, and finished it just has the ball dropped on Times Square.....my last stamping project of 2011. It's going to go right on my Badger shelf, next to my Beat TCU Rose Bowl pin. :) My inspiration for this project came from this Badger Float Amy Rohl created. The idea is the same, although the wagon box is not a template, I did the measurements on my own. The pennant die is from MFT. Below is a photo of the back:
Today the Packers beat the Bears 10-3, and in doing so won their way into the playoffs. The Bears have a really good team this year, and beating them to get into the post-season was just the perfect ending to a entertaining football weekemd, and the first weekend of 2011.
Thanks for stopping by ~ Happy 2011!
Hugs ~ LJ
