TMS #488 - Jenee's Pick!

Hello Hello ~

Welcome to this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch! Our pick this week comes from Jenee!

For my card today I used a leftover sunflower image (Stampendous SunFlower Ladybug) from a Dueling Divas kit from last year and die-cut it with my Scan-N-Cut 2. The patterned paper is from Snap Stories. I colored the image with Stampin Blend Markers, and layered it on the large spellbinders oval. I added some yellow seam binding ribbon, flowers and leaves from my stash to the top of the card.

Here is this week's sketch!

Check out the links to the other TMS Design Team inspiration on the right side of my blog! I Zhope you can find time to play along with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

It's Tuesday Morning Sketch time again and we are visiting the Design Team's favorite sketches from last year! This week we have Debbie's pick which can be used with SO MANY stamps! I chose to use an image left over from a prior Dueling Darlings Kit that was sent to me by Tami. The image is from Red Rubber Designs and I used patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket

Hello Hello ~
Here is my second post for today (my first post is below this one). I created this card using "Too Cute Turtles" from My Favorite Things for this week's MFT Sketch Challenge. The bling at he bottom didn't photograph very well, but those are heart bling from Tim Holtz. the patterned paper is from Simple Stories.

Gina K Monthly Mix it Challenge

Hello Hello ~
I played with a few challenges tonight and I thought I would share what I came up with.

The Gina K Designs Monthly Mix It Challenge for this month is "My Sentiments Exactly"  What it means for the challenge is to use a sentiment ONLY!  No stamped image or patterned paper image is to be used at all!

I thought this would be very challenging for me - I LOVE patterned paper and using colored images on my card. Then I remembered I had Gina's  "A Very Merry Christmas" set - and I saw THIS sketch from the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown  and thought I would give it a try. The most challenging part was spritzing the ink on to the Gina K Luxury Heavy Weight Cardstock - took a few tries - as I tend to over spritz.

Here is the sketch, I did a traditional A2 (5.5 X 4.25) sized card instead of a square card:

TMS #485 - In Memory of Jessi

Hello Hello!

Thank you for joining us today and Happy New Year!  This is when we usually kick off the new year featuring our favorite sketches of 2018.  But it is with great sadness to share that our former design team member, Jessi Fogan, passed away on December 27th.   So to honor Jessi we will be featuring one of her last sketches. Unfortunately I never got the chance to work with Jessi - as she was on the TMS DT before me. I'm positive that I was inspired by her, as I used to visit her blogs often and I participated in TMS sketches while she was on the Design Team.

My card for this week's sketch features images from Mama Elephant and patterned paper from Carta Bella. The image is colored in SU! Stampin Blends. Now that the holidays are over I'll be making more general themed cards (but you will see a Christmas card sprinkled in once in awhile!)

Here is Jessi's sketch for you to try out. I hope you will join us this week!

FMS #369 - A is for Astronaut

Hello Hello

Today I want to share a card for a new swap I have joined in 2019 called the A to Z swap on Splitcoast Stampers (SCS). We start at the beginning of the year, and make two cards per month using the letters of the alphabet to pick our theme/subject! Also the 2 cards we create each month are sent to another participant, so in January I will receive 2 cards ("A" and "B") from Emily and I will send my two A & B Cards to another person! So it's kind of like a "Round Robin". At the end of the 2019 I will have an entire alphabet of cards from 12 other swappers. Since there are 26 letters there will be 2 months were we make and swap 3 "letter" cards.

Anyway - on to my card. I chose the word "Astronaut". so that I could use my cute space-themed set from Lawn Fawn and one of my favorite paper collections - Rocket Age from October Afternoon! I used this weeks' sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for inspiration (sketch below)
As always, thanks for stopping by! Hugs ~LJ
