Basic Grey Recycle Challenge

Hello Friends,

My card for today is for the most recent Basic Grey Challenges Blog, which is to use something recycled on your project. My recycled item is the vintage paper on the bottom of the card, it's from a paper bag that came from a store quite some time ago. I cut part of the bag out and then sent it through my Big Shot with the SU! Top Note die, it is also used again as one of the layers of my flower.  The Basic Grey products used on this card are Archaic DP (green and striped pattern paper) and the green button. I also used Basic Grey Brads on the sentiment label.

MFTWSC12 - Let's Hang Out

Hello Friends

Hope you are all enjoying your Monday so far. I am on vacation this week :) Yay! I'm already on a roll with my second blog post of the week, this card was created for My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #12. I haven't pulled out my Pure Innocence Tree Swing stamp set in awhile. I used Basic Grey patterned paper (Archaic Collection), Basic Grey Brads, and SU! Olive Organdy Ribbon.

One thing I tend to do with a lot my MFT sentiments is if the words are all in the same "row" I will cut the words in to separate pieces. This allows me to arrange them so that I can fit them in a circle punch I like I did above. When I put them back on the cling sheet, I just arrange them back in the same order they originally were. This also works great when you want to stamp each word a different color.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Making the Grade

Hello ~

Today I am sharing a card I created for my dear mom this week :) She is a preschool teacher and had parent-teacher conferences this week. She puts so much effort in helping the cute toddlers learn!  I thought this cute Pure Innocence Image from MFT would be perfect for this card. I used patterned paper from the October Afternoon Campfire Collection. This whole collection is adorable. I love that there are some non-camping themed patterns that can be used for other cards.

Here is a picture showing a different view of the front of the card:

This is the inside of the card:

Well, my cinnamon rolls are about to come out of the oven, so that's my post for today :) Hope you all have a splendid sunday...

Dueling Darlings #8

Hello Friends,

It's time for another Dueling Darlings Challenge, and we are on week #8......We have seven ladies in our Dueling DIvas so it means we are Round #2.....and everyone is in for the second go-around! Yea!  This month we have Kelly from the Sunshine State as our hostess this month, with the theme of Being a Kid at Heart, which is probably something I don't do enough of. Needless to say, when I opened my kit I was THRILLED with the bright cheeriness of the entire kit, including Bouncing Ball Riley from Riley & Company. Riley has found his way to my home on more than one occasion....but I don't have this guy so I was really happy to see a new RIley to play with.....

Here are the supplies I used to create my card (provided by Kelly unless "*"d)
Image: Bouncing Ball Riley (Riley & Company)
Paper: Pattern paper (Cricut), White, Blue, Green, Pixie Pink*
Accessories: Scallop Circle & Circle Spellbinders Dies*, Rick-Rack Paper Ribbon Strips, Heidi Grace Faux Brads, Green Button
Challenge Piece: Puzzle Piece (cute childhood idea!)

I hope you enjoyed my post for today, Please check out the other Darling Diva's as well (Judy just started her blog recently ~ Congrats!!!)

Judy is next on the list

Barb
Laura Jean (me)
Kelly  (this month's hostess)

and now for the DUEL! Please start here, at Jeanette's blog!

MOJO180 - A is for Adorable

Hello ~

Here is my card for this past week's MOJO Monday Sketch Challenge (#180). I got out my sticky SU! Letters and tried some glitter for a change. I really love how this card turned out.  It might be the Pacific Point/Purely Pomegranate color combo though ~ bright and cheery makes me think of spring. The sentiment is retired from SU!

MFTWSC #9 - You've Got Mail

Hello ~

Hope you are having a nice March day. It's still a little chilly here (and quite dreary ~ no sunshine) so I pulled out some bright colors from the retired SU! DSP Pack Jersey Shore for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge over on SCS. I used the Pure Innocence set "Happy Mail".  It's colored with prismacolor/copic markers, with the exception of the dress which is paper pieced.

Basic Grey Challlenge

Hello ~

Tonight I have been working on the current challenge on the "Basic Grey Challenge Blog". I came across this challenge blog lately, and I'm already in love with it, because of course I love my Basic Grey!  The challenge this time was a sketch, and I quickly pulled out one of my new Unity Itty Bitty Sets, "Rain or Shine".  I bought it before Valentine's Day thinking I would use it for some mod Valentine's Card, but I never got around to it. So being that this sketch features an oval for the main focal image, I now had the perfect reason to pull it out and ink it up.

I've used the Basic Grey Nook and Pantry collection for my patterned paper. The Cardstock is Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight (love this yellow shade!). I used some retired SU! Ribbon Originals & Basic Grey Buttons for embellishments. The sentiment was stamped with Wild Wasabi ink.
