TMS #534 - Vintage Christmas

Hello Hello

December is flying by and it's time for another Sketch Challenge with Tuesday Morning Sketches.I have been on a bit of a vintage kick lately, and I think this card represents a bit of vintage Christmas.

The majority of supplies are from Tim Holtz (patterned paper, Christmas Tree Blue Prints Stamp w/coordinating die and some Christmas people. The green ribbon is from Stampin Up.

Here is this week's sketch if you would like to play along:

Next week will be our annual "Anything Goes' challenge and then we will be taking a little break until 2020!

TMS #533 - Christmas Wishes

Hello Hello !

Welcome to this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge! This week's sketch is kind of challenging with the multiple strip and circle elements!

I got out my 2019 Tim Holtz Christmas collection (which I LOVE!). I used some of the patterned paper and also the Ephemera diecuts. The sentiment I used is from Gina K Designs "Christmas Magic"

Here is this week's sketch:

Gina K Monthly Mix it Challenge

Hello Hello ~
I played with a few challenges tonight and I thought I would share what I came up with.

The Gina K Designs Monthly Mix It Challenge for this month is "My Sentiments Exactly"  What it means for the challenge is to use a sentiment ONLY!  No stamped image or patterned paper image is to be used at all!

I thought this would be very challenging for me - I LOVE patterned paper and using colored images on my card. Then I remembered I had Gina's  "A Very Merry Christmas" set - and I saw THIS sketch from the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown  and thought I would give it a try. The most challenging part was spritzing the ink on to the Gina K Luxury Heavy Weight Cardstock - took a few tries - as I tend to over spritz.

Here is the sketch, I did a traditional A2 (5.5 X 4.25) sized card instead of a square card:

Graphic 45 Tag with Gift Card Holder

Hello Hello!

I'm still playing with Christmas papers and stuff! I figured Christmas last 12 days so why not? And I still have all my Christmas goodies out.  I had so much fun creating this I am already working on another one that is valentines' themed.

Anyway, I made this gift card holder based off an idea I saw HERE on Pinterest.  Kathy designs for Authentique and previously for Graphic 45, two of my favorite companies! I just love her style. Anyway. I used all Graphic 45 papers (a mix of a few Collections - mainly St. Nicholas, but also some Christmas Emporium. The big tag I cut/designed my own base for as I didn't have any larger tags at the time. The large tag base measures about 7" by 4". The ribbon is from my stash.

Here is the inside once it's opened up:

The left side has the pocket for the gift card holder, while the right side has space to write a greeting or message.

TMS - Anything Goes

Hello Hello ~

Welcome to this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge! We have NO SKETCH this week so it's an Anything Goes theme! Super easy for you to create anything - stick it on your blog or social media account, and link it to the Tuesday Morning Sketch Blog where you will be eligible win the prize package shown on the blog (or a $15 Gift card to your favorite store if you are international)

It's also the 18th of December, which means it's time to reveal our image for the Unidentified Image swap on Splitcoast Stampers! I am the hostess this month, so I picked out the image which is an Elzybell design. There was a reason why I chose this image. My dear friend Donna who passed a few months ago was a huge penguin collector. I think at one point she had over 320 penguin ornaments on her tree. As a small tribute to her, I picked out this image and asked the swappers in the group to make birthday cards (her Birthday is January 7th). They each made 4 cards using this image, and sent them to me. I swap them out and they each get 3 back. The one extra (which I get to keep) I am going to donate to the Ronald McDonald House near me. The cards i have received so far are amazing! Just waiting for a few more to come in and then I will swap out. Some of the ladies have been very generous by donating all 4 of their cards (getting none back) or making a few extras to send along to the Ronald McDonald House. I am sure they will be used and appreciated!

In addition to the Elzybell image, my card has patterned paper and brads from October Afternoon and Red Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget you can find more fun projects by viewing the rest of the DT blogs. (Links on the right side of my blog).

TMS #483 Filed with Peace

Hello Hello!

It's time for another Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge!  I created a more simpler card this time using the Peaceful Poinsettia set from Stampin Up! The patterned paper is Graphic 45 from my scrap stash, The HollyIvy image is colored with Stampin Blend markers from SU (love these!) and cut out using my Scan-In-Cut 2 then popped up with dimensionals on confetti white panel.

I may recycle this sketch a few more times before Christmas for some personal Christmas Cards. It's so versatile!
You can find inspiration from the rest of the Design Team by checking out their links on the right side of my blog!

The sketch is right here if you would like to try it out!

TMS #479 - Merry Christmas

Hello Hello!

Welcome to another Tuesday Morning Sketch!  Our sketch this week from Melissa features a fun diamond shape! I had so much fun with this sketch - even though it was challenging at first due to the shape of the main image. I ended up flipping the sketch as well. I do not have any diamond shaped dies - so my scan-n-cut 2 came in handy with the set of pre-loaded shapes it comes with.

Stamps: Christmas Magic (GKD) and Christmas Greenery (GKD)
Paper: White (GKD), Red Velvet (GKD), Kraft (GKD), White Polkadot Paper (from scrap stash)
Ink: Cherry Red (GKD)  - Tip - I didn't know beforehand if the sentiment would show up well enough on the patterned paper so I stamped it on a smaller scrap first.
Accessories: bling (Paper Studio), Stampin Blend Markers, pop-dots, Lawn fawn Stitched Border Die.

Be sure to check out the inspiration for this sketch from the rest of the fabulous design team - their blog links are to the right of this post.

Merry Christmoose!

Hello Hello

Today I am sharing a card I made quick for the 52 Christmas Card Throw Down Challenge. This week is a sketch challenge. I don't believe i have participated in this challenge before - and I LOVE making Christmas Cards so maybe I will play along with this one more often.

I had a few left over A*Muse Moose images left over from a prior card, so I colored it with copics. The sentiment is from a very old MFT set - that surprisingly I've never used..........So I'll leave that on my desk to play with maybe sometime this week :) The patterned paper is from my scrap stash (It's SU) and the embellishment is also SU (from last year's Occasions Catalog). I also used Gina K White (layering and base), Fresh Asparagus Cardstock and Ink (Gina K), Kraft Cardstock (Gina K), Bling (SU) and an older Cuttlebug Embossing folder.

Sorry for the poor photography, not much natural light to work with as it's been cloudy and rainy all day. Ugh!

Here is the sketch:

Hello Hello -

Today I am sharing a card I made for Barb's Santa Swap on SCS. I used a *really old* clear amuse set that has Santa. Mrs. Clause and more "north pole themed images"! It's so adorable.

I used patterned paper from October Afternoon, Bling from Stampin Up, and the stitched square frame is from MFT.

Sorry for the poor lighting - this is the only photo I got before I put them in the mail to Barb this morning!

Winter Robins

Hello hello

Haven't been able to craft much due to work training, but now that I am home (for at least 4 weeks) I'll be getting caught up on some crafty-business.

I made the above card from a card kit I received from a member (Shelly) of the Crazy 4 Christmas Group. Every other month we send a kit to a designated partner. Our July month is our "Christmas in July Celebration" where we send our partner a full kit (usually it's just images and patterned paper) Shelly sent me SO many embellishments, there was no way I could use them all on this one card!

The image is from PSX (Winter Robins) and is colored with SU! Watercolor Crayons and SU! Blender pen.

I would like to enter this card in the below challenges:

May Your Merry Be Very.

Hello Hello

Today I am sharing a card I made from a card kit (stamped image and patterned paper) that Pansy (c-mouse on SCS) sent me recently. The Apple Mouse Pie image is from High Hopes Stamps. I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The patterned paper is from Old World Winter (paper studio).

It feels a bit strange making Christmas cards when its 90 degrees out (which is very warm for Wisconsin this time of year) but I'll have a head start on my Christmas Card stash for this year so can't complain! :)

Christmas Kitty

Hello Hello

During 2017 I participated in a simple Christmas Card kit swap. Over the course of the year, I received 6 kits containing 2 quarter sheets of pattern paper, and a few Christmas images to make a Christmas Card (or two) with. My last kit came from Heather . She picked out this darling Kitty image and some papers that coordinated perfectly with the greenery in the image. I colored the image and added some Real Red and Artichoke cardstock, along with some red ribbon and bling.

Thanks so much Heather for the cute kit!

Added some bling on the sentiment panel.

Snowman Challenge

Hello Hello!

Today I have a cute snowman card to share for the Always Fun Challenge #35 - Snowman.

I used patterned paper from October Afternoon (Good Cheer 8x8 pad). some SU Bling in the corners, and yet another red bow (something I'm rather addicted to using right now on every card it seems! The the card is layered on a base of Gina K Bubble Gum Pink.

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs ~ LJ
