TMS 493 Hello Sunshine!

Hello Hello!

It's Tuesday Morning Sketch time and Debbie has a fun sketch for us with quite a few layers to play with! I used another Riley this week (Gardening Riley) as I wanted to make a spring card this week!

The patterned paper is all from my scrap stash, and the Ribbon is from StampinUp. I added two enamel dots from Spare Parts (Hobby Lobby) in the upper right corner.

Here is this week's sketch:

As always, you can find more inspiration by checking out the rest of the Design Team - their blog links are on the right side of my blog ---->

The button is from Grey and I also used my MFT Die-namic Fish Tail stax. I totally love this die set. It's one of my favorites!

Summer Fun With Riley!

Hello ~ Hello

Thanks for stopping by ~ my card for today is for the latest challenge over on the Riley & Company Blog that my SCS Buddy and Riley DT member Kelly is hostessing.  The challenge is "Oceans of Fun: and red and blue need to be included somewhere on the card. For my image I used the adorable Swimmer Riley which is colored in with copics and matted on circle and scalloped circle spellbinders dies. The card base was created with one of the spellbinders labels dies. The sentiment is from an older Gina K Designs Stamp Set.  My patterned paper is from Stampin Up! (retired). I also used a SU! Punch under neath the sentiment and Basic Grey Brads. The Ribbon is from SU!

This also is for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, which is to create a shaped card other than the standard square or rectangle.

Have a wonderful day!

SCS Swap - In The Forest

Hello ~ Hello

Thanks for stopping by! My card for today is for Jeanette's Forest Swap on SCS. The theme for this Forest (as there always is one) is "Who's In The Forest?". We were to create a card (actually 6 of the them that says something about you. My choice was easy, as i am a huge sports fan! I chose to use adorable basketball Riley, as he has not been seeing any ink yet (Forgotten Stamp Friday Challenge) and I am trying to get a season Basketball ticket for the Wisconsin Badgers this fall (fingers crossed on that one!). I really don't follow the NBA much, but I love college basketball!

Have a wonderful day!

Riley Pizza Box

Hello ~

Today I am sharing my entry for the latest Riley & Company Challenge, which was to create a gift box. I used the adorable Rainy Day Riley as my focal image for this box. The box measures 4"X 4" X 1" deep, and guess what? There's a supah dupah easy tutorial for it... here on SCS :) All you really need to create the box is some strong adhesive, a 6X'11" sheet of card stock, and a scoring tool....I used my score-pal. I used Lovely Lilac, Pixie Pink, and Tempting Turquoise card stock. The SU! patterned paper, Flowers For You, is from the Summer 2008 Catalog. I also used a border punch, Labels 17 Spellbinders die, bling,  and  some 1" turquoise gingham ribbon. Riley was stamped on Gina K Luxury White Luxury card stock, colored with copics, with the exception of the umbrella which is paper-pieced.

Below is another photo of the mini pizza box which shows some of the dimension and depth (and yes, a gift card fits in this box!)

Thanks for stopping by today!

School's Out (well almost!)

Hello friends ~

I decided to play with the latest Riley & Company Blog challenge ~ to celebrate National Teacher's Day (which was May 3rd).  In advance, I apologize for the photograph of my card, I finished it after dark this evening ~ couldn't get the right lighting. My School Girl Sophie image was the perfect choice for this challenge. I used some pattern paper from October Afternoon (Report Card & Campfire Collections) along with a coordinating border sticker (also from the OA Report Card Collection). My cardstock is from Gina K Designs, Ribbon is from SU! and I used a spiral clip from Creative Impressions. I also used a SU Open Scalloped Edge punch on the bottom of the card. Sophie was stamped with memento tuxedo black on a MFT Perfect Paper Panel and colored in with copics. I also used pop-dots to pop up the main image over the base of the card. I'm also entering this card in Jessie's Forgotten Stamp Friday Challenge #21.  Just love checking out her work!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Recycling in the Forest

Good Evening ~

Today's post is for Jeanette's Forest Swap on SCS......the challenge of this swap was to use something recycled on my card....My recycled item is the tan/brown fiber at the bottom of the card, which was originally from an Urban Outfitters Bag from a pre--christmas purchase......They were bag handles....

For this card swap (which I made six of) I used Cheers Riley from Riley & Company. Isn't he a cutie? The pattern paper I used is from "3 Bugs and a Rug" ~ it's their "The Great Outdoors" collection. Super cute stuff, actually I think this is the stuff I purchased for the last Forest swap (yes there have been multiple Forest Swaps!) and couldn't find it when it came time to create the cards. :) So here it is now. Kind of happy I "saved" it how about you?

Hope you liked my card tonight ~ thanks as always for stopping by. I think I am going to spend the rest of my evening organizing my ribbon bins (something I need to do every so often....) maybe I can find something else in there I can recycle on another card.......

Have a great evening ~

Santa Riley

Hello! Today I am sharing a Riley Card I created for the current challenge over at the Riley & Company Blog, which was to create any kind of Christmas Card.  I used Mercy's Sketch #102.  I used some iridescent ice (SU) to add some glitter to the snow, Santa's beard, and his hat. My Riley stamps have sadly been neglected lately so they are pulled out so that I remember to use them more often :) The new Christmas releases are adorable, I'll have to see if I can have Santa bring me a couple......

Thanks for stopping by ~
