TMS #524 Trick or Treat

Hello Hello!

Welcome to this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge! After a bit of a break due to work travel (and some fun travel) I'm back. For my fun travel I attended a weekend Graphic 45 retreat and had so much fun. I learned a lot too.  I will be sharing some of the projects in the upcoming weeks!

Anyway this week's sketch was created by Melissa, while it looks a little challenging with the strips, it really isn't that bad! I chose to make a Halloween card (with no stamping!) the patterned paper is from Authentique. The pumpkin is from K&Co and the metal words are from EK Success. I sponged the silver cardstock with some black ink as well.

Here are the measurements provided by one of our DT members, Debbie:

I used Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics, so the mat is 5-3/8" x 4-1/8"
and the patterned paper is 3-7/8" high.It will work with 7 strips going down 1/8" each time from 1" down to 1/4".)

Here is the actual sketch:

Hope you will decide to join us this week! Can't wait to see what other's do with this sketch!

MFTWSC365 - Best Witches

Hello Hello

Tonight I am sharing a card I made for this week's My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge. For my card I used the Little Witch PI girl (retired). I paper pieced her dress using patterned paper from the Doodlebug Designs Halloween Parade 6X6 pack. The rest of the image was colored with copics & I added a punched out velvet heart to her dress.  The bottom strip is also from the same pack. Then I used the MFT Fence and grass die-namics to give the cute girl  a little scenery. The the twine is from the Doodlebug Designs Halloween Pack.

Here is the inside of my card, more of the same patterned paper collection, and sentiment from another MFT Halloween set (Witch Way is the Candy)

The sketch is below:

Halloween Duel!

Hello Hello ~ It's still the 15th so I am technically not late for this month's duel between the Divas and Dazzlers! :-) Tami (Divas) and Terry L (Dazzlers) chose a halloween theme. The kit Tami sent us Divas is adorable! I had a blast coloring her up with my new prismacolor pencils (I got the full set!)

I used one of this month's SCS Sketches as my starting point.

MOJO418 Sketch

Hello ~

MFTWSC Bats About You!

Hello ~ Hello

Today's card is for this week's MFT Sketch challenge. I have been using "Witch Way Is the Candy?" a lot lately. I think it's one of my all-time favorite halloween sets - ever. :)

The pumpkins and bats are stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and colored in with markers. I used the coordinating die-namics to cut the images out (so glad I got these!). The patterned paper is all from Doodlebug Design (Halloween Parade 6X6 pad). I used a spider button from Button It Up. and Black Stitched Ribbon from the Paper Studio.

Halloween Hello

Hello ~ Hello!

It's the 15th of the month so it's time for a another Duel between the Divas and Darlings. This months hostess for the Divas was yours truly :) Terry is this month's Darling hostess and we went with a Halloween Theme this month which is "Eat, Drink, and Be Scary".

The kit I sent included the following:

Stamps & Sentiment: Witch Way is the Candy / My favorite things
Patterned Paper: Basic Grey Eerie Collection
Accessories: Recollections die-cut, bling, buttons, candy corn brads, ribbon, Dress it Up buttons

I had quite a bit of fun with this kit - being the hostess I could pick out one of my favorite sets to use :) I recently purchased some new copic markers (cool greys) so I was super excited to get those out and play. :) my card base is 5.50" square.

Here is the inside of my card (using one of my favorite MS Punches)

As a additional challenge, we asked the Divas & Darlings to share your favorite treat to receive if you went trick-or-treating as a child. For me, tootsie rolls and Nestle Crunch were my favorites (and I still LOVE tootsie rolls!)

October Duel

Hello ~

Here's my October Duel card. Judy sent us the cutest halloween kit this month to play with. I'm a little late this month but found some time over the weekend to play with the kit and create a card with it. I think this mummy is so cute and I love the My Minds Eye papers that were sent!

Our two hostesses (Judy and Paola) wanted us to share some thoughts about Halloween. While Halloween is not one of my favorite holidays - I do enjoy making halloween cards. I like friendly spooks, although you will never see me watching any of the freaky flicks that are out there.

This year will be exciting for me because I actually will be "home" this year. The past couple of years I have been in Arizona on Halloween. It will be fun being around and seeing Tavi dressed up & collecting her treats!

Too Cute To Spook

Hello Hello

Taylored Expressions Blog Hop!

Hello ~ Hello

It's time for this month's Taylored Expressions Blast The Past Blog Hop! So glad you could hop on by today.  This month's theme is Trick or Sweet and I created candy box with a matching card for the challenge! I used some older Halloween Patterned Paper from K&CO on both of my projects. The candy box was created with a SU! Top Note die. The image is from the adorable Trick or Sweet set from Taylored Expressions. I especially love these Pumpkin Cuppies! My card is based off of Jen's October Sketch For You To Try. I have another card to share later this week for this challenge as well!

Below are a few more pictures of the card and box individually, I had SO much fun creating these!

MOJO209 - Trick or Treat!

Hello~Hello

This card was created for MOJO Monday Sketch 209.  I don't have many halloween cards made up, so I need to get busy! :) The sentiment is from Inkadinkado, and I sponged it with pumpkin pie ink. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey - Eeerie Collection and I also used some Basic Grey Brads. The border punch is from Martha Steward (Icicle - but looks kind of halloweenie on it's side if you ask me!)

Hardly feels like October here, my A/C has been on today - 80+ in south-central Wisconsin, certainly not complaining. :)

Back to the Brewers game (and Packers later on)......I'm feeling pizza delivery tonight, how about you??

MFTWSC36 - Sweet Treat!

Hello~Hello~

Normally I wait until October 1st to pull out the halloween stamps, but I had this cute Honey Bee PI image from MFT Stamps in my head for this week's MFT Sketch Challenge and couldn't resist using it. It's a little ironic this image was one that I chose "this morning",  I actually was stung by a bee this evening while taking out the garbage (I'm okay as you can see, it didn't stop me from crafting tonight - just a little swelling where the buzzer got me). LOL

I stamped the image on MFT Perfect Panels, then colored in with my markers (including some spica glitter pens ~ love these!). I then triple-matted the image with pumpkin pie, purple, and black (my photography lighting was not the best tonight, sorry!). I also used some glitter brads from american crafts, and some ribbon from Hobby Lobby (love the zig-zags!). The top two pattern paper panels are from SU!, the bottom one is from K&CO. I stamped the sentiment with black, and then matted it 3 times there. I LOVE using lots of layers!

Thanks for stopping by today! :)

Pumpkin Challenge

Hello All,

This Pumpkin is a challenge for at work of all places. Our division had pumpkins pinned up to the bulletin board in the hall and we were to take one down, decorate it, and put it back on the wall. They all will be voted on by the employees. So this is my entry. I went a little out of the box for mine. I used MFT's Too Cute To Spook stamp set, which just came in the mail last Thursday (perfect timing~). I embossed the tree in black, used my MS fence border punch, and the cute witch is from the MFT set. I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored her in, cut it out, and popped it up with pop dots. I cut the oval hole with Spellbinder's Petite Ovals. This is also self-standing, I created a paper stand for the back of it so it can sit on a shelf.  Another picture is below showing the dimension, thanks for looking!

Haunted Cuppie

Good Evening,

I'm back to sporadic posting again (sigh!). Couldn't wait though to use a new MS iron gate border punch I found over the weekend at a LSS and make card with one of Taylor's Halloween Cuppies. Just love how this cute little witch is just walking down the street with all the bats flying around. I'm not a big halloween person, but I love halloween paper and embellishments!

MOJO 102

Hello!

I found this Penny Black stamp at my local Archiver's over the weekend, isn't it cute? It works perfect with this week's MOJO sketch. I'm not really big on Halloween in general, but I love making Halloween Cards!

More info on the card : I used K&CO Halloween Paper (Designed by Tim Coffey ~ love his stuff!), the sentiment is from a Hanna Stamps! set, and that pretty flower was RAK'd to me (I think it's from OTC). I took the photo on my patio, to get some natural light for a change. I think I'll be taking photos of my cards out there more often, at least until the snow starts flying!

Have a great night!

Hugs ~ LJ
