Ink: Real Red, More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, Always Artichoke

WSC46 - Happy Everything

This is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge. I did this tonight when I got home from work. Lots of layering, but that tends to be my style. I played a but with the flower piece, pretty happy with the results! I'l have another oblong card to share tomorrow for the SCS Wednesday Sketch.

The recipe for this card can be found in my SCS Gallery by clicking HERE

Have a super night!

WSC45 - Love Always

Here is my creation for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. I pulled out one of SU's retired scrapping kits for it. The colors are Blush Blossom & Mellow Moss. I used Moss gingham ribbon and silver brads for accents, the flower stamp is from True Friend which I just got as my SAB Incentive Set. I have had my eyes on this set for so long, but never really pictured a soft card with it until I did this card tonight. Thanks for looking!

WSC44 - simple flower

here is my card for Beate's weekend sketch challenge (#44) I wanted to keep the image simple, because of all the "business going on with the background paper. I also used a oval for the image instead of the rectangle. I like this design but the card came together a little tough for me because I am terrible at measurements. The Flower is from Gina K's How Sweet It Is (can you tell i lOVE this set???), I colored in the flower with my Prismacolors & used Gina K Odorless Mineral Spirits to Color the image in. I'm still a novice with the water-coloring, but I think with practice I will get better.  Thanks for looking!

Recipe:
Set: Gina K Designs How Sweet It Is
Paper: Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Whisper White, SU Petals and Paisleys DSP (retired)
Ink: Black Stazon
Access: prismacolor pencils, odorless mineral spirits, Bling (Paper Company Studio), Petite Ovals (nestabilities), Wide Olive Grossgrain, Pretty in Pink narrow grossgrain, hole punch

Beate's WSC42 - Sort of....

Okay, I tried, really! I thought I had Beate's sketch all down pat (with the exception of the extra circle - I needed a sentiment somewhere!). Then I realized I had the rectangle panels laid down the wrong way after finishing the card. Been one of those days! :) I'm still happy with the card. This was my 3rd try...
The deets:
Stamps: Down on the Farm, Tag You're It
CS: Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White, Cutie Pie DSP
Ink: Bashful Blue, Basic Brown, Wild Wasabi,
Accessories: Wild Wasabi Striped Grossgrain, So Saffron Brads, 1.25" & 1 3/8 Circle punches, Cuttlebug Circle Die (both whisper white and wild wasabi circles)

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #35

This is my card for Beate's weekend sketch challenge (#35). I love this sketch. This is actually the 2nd card I created for this sketch (I'll share the first one I did later) Aren't the colors just yummy? This is more of a fall card, but I love this SU DSP. It's so bright & cheery. I used the Friendly Flowers Set which is in the new SU Occasions Mini. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite sets. This is also the first card I have used the Flower Fusion flowers on. I hope they come out with more colors soon!

Stamp Set: Friendly Flowers. Fundamental Phrases
CS: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, SU DSP, Whisper White,
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Choc Chip,

WSC32 - Beate's Sketch

Good evening! It's been awhile so I thought tonight would be a good night to post a new card I just made over the weekend for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge (WSC32). When I saw the layout I knew exactly what I wanted to do - which doesn't happen very often! I might have to try this sketch again this week! It's very versatile!

Recipe:
Set: Happy Heart Day
Ink: Black Stazon, Blue Bayou
Cardstock: Blush Blossom, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky DSP, Whisper White
Accessories: Soft Sky Double Stitched Ribbon, SU Brads, Marvy Rectangle Scallop Punch, Circle Punches (SU) Horizontal Slot Punch, Blender PEN, SU Markers

Have a wonderful night! Were expecting some VERY cold weather starting tomorrow.
