Feelin Groovy
Hello ~ Hello ~
Today I am participating in the monthly Taylored Expressions Blast From the Past Customer Blog Hop! Here is this month's theme:
" The theme for our August hop is "Collectors Anonymous". We all have those precious ribbons and embellishments that we like to hoard, right? Maybe it's because they're hard to find, expensive, or just too pretty to use. Well, it's time to get them out of storage and onto a card! "
I tend to hoard my pretty corduroy brads. They aren't something I go grabbing for usually when I create a card. When I first purchased a couple of colors, I put them in to some clear shot glasses for decoration only. :-) they looked so pretty in them I didn't want to take them out and use them. So I used 3 of those on my card. I also used the super cute and retro TE Set - Feelin Groovy with some Basic Grey Hopscotch Patterned Paper. I also used the fun sketch Sankari came up with for inspiration. :)

Where's The Sun Sunscreen?
Hello ~ Hello
It's time for this month's Duel, and the lovely Judy is our hostess this month with the theme of 'It's So Hot ~ Let's Cool Off". Judy sent us an adorable bright, summery fun kit to play with. I totally love this kit ~ the bright colors certainly cheered up my mailbox the day it arrived! :)
On to my card details, the image is from a Stampin' Up set, the patterned paper is from American Crafts (gotta find me some more of this adorable stuff - especially the popsicle themed paper!) I also used some various embellishments that were included in the kit (have so many more leftover though for other cards).
Judy and Paola asked is how we handle the dog days of summer and cool off. When I'm not home in the comfortable A/C, I'm easily found at the ballpark (in the shade of course!) I love baseball and love traveling to various baseball parks (I've seen games in close to 40 major league stadiums). I also love to get out and play with my 2 1/2 year old niece, if it's not too hot and sticky. Being in Wisconsin, our summers are usually mild and not really hot, but this summer has been the exception to the rule, so I have been inside more than I usually am.

Hello ~ Hello
thanks for stopping by today. I created this card for the MOJO Monday Sketch last week and never got it posted in time for the challenge. So here it is :) The patterned papers are from October Afternoon (Circa 1934) and the sentiment is from SU! - I matted the sentiment on a dolly die from My Favorite Things. The buttons are from basic grey and I also used some coordinating chipboard pieces from the Circa 1934 Collection.
Have a great day ~ LJ

Summer Fun With Riley!
Hello ~ Hello
Thanks for stopping by ~ my card for today is for the latest challenge over on the Riley & Company Blog that my SCS Buddy and Riley DT member Kelly is hostessing. The challenge is "Oceans of Fun: and red and blue need to be included somewhere on the card. For my image I used the adorable Swimmer Riley which is colored in with copics and matted on circle and scalloped circle spellbinders dies. The card base was created with one of the spellbinders labels dies. The sentiment is from an older Gina K Designs Stamp Set. My patterned paper is from Stampin Up! (retired). I also used a SU! Punch under neath the sentiment and Basic Grey Brads. The Ribbon is from SU!
This also is for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, which is to create a shaped card other than the standard square or rectangle.
Have a wonderful day!

SCS Swap - In The Forest
Hello ~ Hello
Thanks for stopping by! My card for today is for Jeanette's Forest Swap on SCS. The theme for this Forest (as there always is one) is "Who's In The Forest?". We were to create a card (actually 6 of the them that says something about you. My choice was easy, as i am a huge sports fan! I chose to use adorable basketball Riley, as he has not been seeing any ink yet (Forgotten Stamp Friday Challenge) and I am trying to get a season Basketball ticket for the Wisconsin Badgers this fall (fingers crossed on that one!). I really don't follow the NBA much, but I love college basketball!
Have a wonderful day!

SFYTT July 2011
Hello again ~
Back today with a second post :) I wanted to make sure I got my SFYTT July Sketch done! :)
For this card I used one of my favorite sets from Paper Trey Ink, "Up Up and A Way" which has coordinating dies that can be purchases separately. I used the balloon die on my card, makes crafting so much easier! The DP is retired from SU!
Please scroll down to the next post if you would like to see my MFT Sketch Card I posted earlier today.
Thanks again for stopping by!
