Basic Grey Challlenge

Hello ~

Tonight I have been working on the current challenge on the "Basic Grey Challenge Blog". I came across this challenge blog lately, and I'm already in love with it, because of course I love my Basic Grey!  The challenge this time was a sketch, and I quickly pulled out one of my new Unity Itty Bitty Sets, "Rain or Shine".  I bought it before Valentine's Day thinking I would use it for some mod Valentine's Card, but I never got around to it. So being that this sketch features an oval for the main focal image, I now had the perfect reason to pull it out and ink it up.

I've used the Basic Grey Nook and Pantry collection for my patterned paper. The Cardstock is Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight (love this yellow shade!). I used some retired SU! Ribbon Originals & Basic Grey Buttons for embellishments. The sentiment was stamped with Wild Wasabi ink.

Thanks for stopping by ~

Here's my card for last week's MOJO Monday Sketch (#179). This card ended up with a lot of layers, but I tend to add a lot of layers to my challenge cards anyways. I'm using one of my favorite PI images from MFT, Heart Stripes. The dress and boots are paper pieced.

Thanks for stopping by ~

Recycling in the Forest

Good Evening ~

Today's post is for Jeanette's Forest Swap on SCS......the challenge of this swap was to use something recycled on my card....My recycled item is the tan/brown fiber at the bottom of the card, which was originally from an Urban Outfitters Bag from a pre--christmas purchase......They were bag handles....

For this card swap (which I made six of) I used Cheers Riley from Riley & Company. Isn't he a cutie? The pattern paper I used is from "3 Bugs and a Rug" ~ it's their "The Great Outdoors" collection. Super cute stuff, actually I think this is the stuff I purchased for the last Forest swap (yes there have been multiple Forest Swaps!) and couldn't find it when it came time to create the cards. :) So here it is now. Kind of happy I "saved" it how about you?

Hope you liked my card tonight ~ thanks as always for stopping by. I think I am going to spend the rest of my evening organizing my ribbon bins (something I need to do every so often....) maybe I can find something else in there I can recycle on another card.......

Have a great evening ~

SFYTT - FEBRUARY

Hello~

Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am......I want to play with my MFT February VIP Kit, which has the newest Who's That Girl? set, "Who's That Music Girl".  This is already one of my favorite MFT VIP kits..Tonight's card using that set was created for this months's SYFTT (Sketch For You To Try) on Jen Del Muro's Blog. This card is a little outside of my comfort zone. I'm not a "vintagy" crafter...In fact I have probably had this 7gypsies Paperie Variety pack for about 3 years, without using maybe but one sheet of it before tonight.  And my dust covered Pretties Kit got some attention tonight......after a few finger pricks or two....

Anyzoo ~ hope you liked my card tonight.....Thanks for stopping by.....

MFT WSC #7

Oh how I wish I needed an umbrella for a nice warm rain, but nope, more snow on the way tonight. (I wonder if our groundhog wants to reconsider this early spring stuff to make himself look a little better - LOL)

Any how, this is my card for MFTWSC #7 on SCS. I used two MFT Stamp Sets, Pure Innocence My Umbrella & Rainy Day Friends (sentiment). This is one of my favorite sentiments stamps from MFT. :)  I used some MFT pattern paper, and some Prima Paper Flowers my mom gifted me for Valentines Day (looove them!) The brads are from basic grey, and all card-stock is from Gina K Designs (Chocolate Kiss, Soft Sand, and Apple Green.

Thanks for stopping by ~

Thank You!

Hello,

Today's card I have to share is one of my spots in Barb's Thank You Swap over on SCS! The tree image is from Funky Four (SU!)  & sentiment is retired from SU! I used some print pattern DP, and lots of Rich Razzleberry :)

A good sign spring is finally coming, I was able to get out on to my patio and take the picture outside...there has been a lot of snowmelt this week, just hope it keeps melting!
