MFTWSC90 - Thanks Friend

Hello Hello

I'm playing along with this week's My Favorite Things (MFT) Sketch Challenge! My card is fairly simple. From start to finish I think it took me about 10 minutes (YES! only TEN minutes!)  I used the adorable set Too Cute Turtles for the bird and butterfly image & the sentiment is from a retired MFT Pure Innocence set. I also used the MFT Die-Namics Stitched Frames  Those were die-cut with white and then were sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink. Below is the sketch:

Full of Roses

Hello Hello

It's the 15th of the month and time for another duel! Our theme for the month of May is ROSES!
I so love that Carol chose so many pretty images to choose from, including this one from Gina K (which I own personally!) I colored it out with prismacolor markers added some wink of stella to the roses, die-cut it with my Scan-N-Cut2 and then the rest of the card came together pretty easily.  The patterned papers she sent are are just so pretty. Thanks Carol!

I've posted about it before, but my grandmother and aunt had beautiful roses in the front of the house when I was living with them. They would come up nearly every year - bright pink.

SC700 - Merry Christmas!

Hello Hello!

Sharing a quick card I made for two challenges. SC700 (Splitcoaster Stamps) and a Challenge Your Stash Challenge group that I am in (also on SCS). The Challenge Your Stash challenge was to use a mouse (or 2 or 3) on your card. I don't have many mouse stamps to be honest, but I have a Lawn Fawn Set (Merry Christmouse) so I got that one out to play with. The patterned paper is from G45 (St. Nicholas 6X6 Pad)

Cheery Hello

Hello Hello!

Happy Memorial Day!

Today I am sharing a card I made for this month's Mix It challenge on Gina K StampTV. The challenge is Rainbow Stenciling. (the new colors are bolded below)

Here are the rest of the supplies:

Cardstock: White (GKD Layering and Base), Sea Glass, Lucky Clover

Ink: Coral Reef, Lucky Clover, Tangerine Twist, Key Lime, Sea Glass, Bubblegum Pink, Innocent Pink

Accessories: Oval and Rectangle Spellbinders dies, SU bling, pop-dots

May Your Merry Be Very.

Hello Hello

Today I am sharing a card I made from a card kit (stamped image and patterned paper) that Pansy (c-mouse on SCS) sent me recently. The Apple Mouse Pie image is from High Hopes Stamps. I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The patterned paper is from Old World Winter (paper studio).

It feels a bit strange making Christmas cards when its 90 degrees out (which is very warm for Wisconsin this time of year) but I'll have a head start on my Christmas Card stash for this year so can't complain! :)

For My Teacher (TMS454)

Hello Hello

Today I am sharing a card I made for this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch (#454)  The sketch is at the bottom of this blog post if you would like to see it. I used an older Taylored Expressions set that has since been retired, Mischief Maker Back to School. She is stamped on Gina K White with Gina K K Black Amalgam ink.  I absolutely love this ink. It's "friendly" with nearly every coloring medium I have, and it stamps so crisp (regardless of the type or brand of stamp I use). I colored the image with prismacolor markers, and then added an sentiment (stamped in SU! Real Red). The pattern paper is from October Afternoon (School Days Collection - this was one of their first collections).

I am a bit of an OA (October Afternoon) addict, but I am trying to use stuff I love instead of hoard it :)  I so miss not having any new releases from them anymore, but maybe that's a good thing, as it keeps my checking account on the positive side :)
