Instead of posting a card tonight, I thought I would show you a picture of our State Capitol. I took this tonight from the bottom of State Street. For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our Capitol has been PINK. I just thought it was really pretty. I took a few other pictures of the Capitol in daylight because all the fall colors are so pretty right now. So maybe I will share those later this week.

Color Challenge

I haven't tried a color challenge over on SCS for awhile, so I thought I would try this week's colors. I would never think to put Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, and Cameo Coral together, but it's a really pretty combo once I got it together. The ornament image is from Rupa's "The Magic Of Christmas" set (Gina K Designs). The original image is two ornaments together, so I stamped the image twice on Very Vanilla. After coloring the images with Prisma Color Markers (PM-28 Dark Olive Green & PM-170 Peach), I sponged the panel with Cameo Coral & Always Artichoke. I also sponged the sentiment with the same two colors. The DP is Festive Finery (Retired SU!).

Have a great night!

Gina K Sketch Challenge

Hello!

Here is a card I made for last week's Gina K Sketch Challenge over on StampTV - using Theresa Momber's newest set, "Very Merry Christmas". I colored the image with Prismacolor Markers, and created the lighter shading with a Prisma Colorless Blender Marker. The DP is from Stampin Up! (Merry Moments). I used my SU Rectangle nestabilities, and cut off the top that had scalloped-edges. The buttons are from Basic Grey & the Tafetta Ribbon is SU! (Riding Hood Red).

Winter's coming....

Good Evening ~

Here is a card I worked on this weekend for another SCS Swap I am in. We have to use the new SU InColors. I chose to use Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, and Rich Razzleberry. I also used a SU! Set I ordered from the Holiday Mini Catalog, called Cold & Cuddly. I masked the beat image over the ice image. The stamped hearts are from the SU! set called Love You Much.

Posting again....

Hello, I'm back to posting (hopefully more often once again) I was on vacation for 2 weeks on the East Coast with my friend Scott. We had wonderful time going to baseball games, seeing new sights in big cities, etc. It was hard to go back to work yesterday, and now I'm finding myself tired earlier in the evening than I am used to.

Anyways, I thought I would share a card I have made for a swap since getting back. Back in July, I flew to Columbus, Ohio for a shoebox swap & to spend the weekend with a bunch of ladies I met through SCS. One of the things we all did a lot of was stamp images of stamps that we all brought along. After we got home with all of our newly stamped images, Jackie (AKA Babitoons on SCS) decided to host a "use those images swap". So this is what I came up with. I used Football Ian from The Greeting Farm. I did use my Badger Colors, but I kept it non-badger themed so that whoever got these would be able to use them (wouldn't it be cute for a little boy's birthday card?) The DSP is from an older SU Prints Pack. The Ribbon I got from Hobby Lobby (their brand).

Thanks for looking! :) Hopefully this will get me back into posting more often again!

Swaps

Hello! I finished two SCS swaps tonight, so I thought I would quickly share them with you before I sign off for the evening. The first card (above) is for Sam's Big Shot Sizzix Die Swap. I used two SU/Sizzix Dies (Top Note and Hearts & Brackets). The "U" stamp is from Big Deal Alpha (which is my favorite Alphabet Set) I also added a Filigree Brad in the corner, and some Pink Pirouette striped ribbon

The 2nd swap card I did today is for my friend Cheryl's Riley swap. Most of the Bicycle Riley image is colored with Prismamarkers. The Bike is colored in with SU Markers. I used Basic Grey Cupcake DP on most of the card. (I think the bicycle DP is perfect for this image ~ LOL). I added Red Riding Hood Striped SU ribbon & Some Basic Grey Cupcake Brads on top. The sentiment is from a GINA K Set called Tag Lines.
