MFT Sketch #1 - Flying High

Hello ~

Just thought I would pop in quick this evening and share my MFT Sketch Card submission for this week.  This cute Pure Innocence set (You Give Me Wings) arrived today in my mailbox and is so adorable. I created the swing with a scrap of brown cards stocked. punched a couple holes, and threaded the twine through the back. Wheeeee!

MFT - SFYTT Sketch January 2011

Hello ~

I hope you all have had a bright and cheery 2011 so far. I love the new year, especially since in January I have a very special birthday to celebrate at the end of the month. My niece will be two years old on January 30th. It makes the long winter month go by much faster when there is special day to look forward to! So I will probably be in a Birthday-theme card-making mood all month. :-)

My card for the day is a Birthday themed card (surprise!)....I used the MFT Pure Innocence Birthday stamp set for the image and sentiment. The dress and crown on the image is paper pieced (the Xyron Create-A-Sticker machine works great for paper-piecing cards like this ~ it's one of the crafting tools of mine that never leaves my craft desk). I used some pattern paper from SEI (Happy Day 6X6 collection ~ so adorable!) and some satin pink ribbon.

This card was entered for two challenges: Crazy 4 Challenges (Celebrate) and I {heart}2 Stamp's Monthy Sketch Challenge (SFYTT-January 2011). I'm a little late on the MFT WSC for this past week (Party), but it would fit that challenge also :-)

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, thanks again for stopping by. :)

MOJO 171 - VIntage MFT

Hello,

I made this card last week for MOJO Monday 171. I used MFT's Pure Innocence Image (4-Leaf Clover) and patterned paper from a 6X6 Cosmo Cricket paper stack (Circa 1934 collection). The little girl's outfit was paper-pieced & the rest of the image was colored in with prismacolor & copic markers.

On The Bucky Wagon

Happy New Year!

As this is my first post of 2011 ~ I'd like to thank the followers of my stamping travels throughout 2010. I'm very thankful for those of you that took the time out of your day to come visit my blog.  I read every one of the comments you post, and they all mean a lot to me.....

This weekend was an up and down roller coaster of fun-filled memorial football events, surely an exciting beginning to the new year for me.

First my beloved Badger Football team participated and fought hard in the 2011 Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Although they did not come out on top, they showed true Badger pride and passion and played the game with a 200% effort. I created the above Bucky Wagon on New Years Eve, and finished it just has the ball dropped on Times Square.....my last stamping project of 2011. It's going to go right on my Badger shelf, next to my Beat TCU Rose Bowl pin. :) My inspiration for this project came from this Badger Float Amy Rohl created. The idea is the same, although the wagon box is not a template, I did the measurements on my own. The pennant die is from MFT. Below is a photo of the back:

Today the Packers beat the Bears 10-3, and in doing so won their way into the playoffs. The Bears have a really good team this year, and beating them to get into the post-season was just the perfect ending to a entertaining football weekemd, and the first weekend of 2011.

Thanks for stopping by ~ Happy 2011!

PTI VIntage Balloon Ride

Hello,

Hope your Tuesday was/is terrific (covering all the bases there). Today I'm sharing a card I made for a PTI swap on SCS that I am in using the PTI set "Up, Up and Away". I used Cherry Cobbler and Mellow Moss for my primary cardstock colors, and added some designer paper from K& CO (Classic K McKenna). I wasn't really trying for an overall holiday-looking card, but I think this would make a nice after-christmas thank you card. Since I used a darker cardstock base, I placed a lighter shade of designer paper on the inside (which was cut with the top note die). The Mellow Moss Gingham is retired from SU.  No sketch was used this time, I just kept layering pattern papers until I came up with something I liked.

If you are wondering about the background change, It's the best I could come up with for supporting the Badgers in the Rose Bowl this week...... :-)

Thanks for stopping by.....

MFT Challenge for 12/22/2010

Hello ~

Here is my card for this week's MFT Wednesday Challenge over on SCS, which was to use MFT Die-Namic dies. I love these, and I have a few more waiting in my shopping cart over at the MFT Store! :) I'm trying to get away from my Christmas stamps for at least awhile now that the holidays are pretty much over (I have one celebration left this week with a friend of mine, who is coming on the 30th).

I used four MFT DIes for this card:
  • Sheltering Tree
  • Fresh Cut Grass
  • Jumbo Scallop
  • Scalloped Scallop
The green part of the tree is a spellbinders label die and the cardinal bird punch is from Martha Stewart crafts.

MFT Pure Innocence Christmas Challenge

Hello ~ this adorable MFT Pure Innocence (PI) image hadn't seen ink, until today. She's not really a Winter/Christmas PI, but doesn't she look cute hauling her Christmas tree home?  This time i used some DP from Kaiser Craft I picked up at Summer CHA (come to think of it, I think that's when I bought the MFT PI set as well) the PI image is colored with copics/prismacolors. The dress is paper pieced with the Kaiser Craft DP. I also used some rectangle spellbinders dies, the SU! Heart border punch and some ribbon (cranberry is from SU, the satin ribbon not sure who makes it - sorry). The christmas tree is from the SU! Loads of Love set.

This card was entered for this week's MFT Challenge over on SCS. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
