PP #420 - Just Chill

Hello Hello !

The Paper Players Blog had a fun sketch challenge this week so I decided to give it a try.

My card uses an image from My Favorite Things Stamps and a Sentiment from an Stampin Up! Set.
The patterned paper is from my scrap stash - and the drop dots are from October Afternoon. I colored the polar bear with my Stampin Blends from Stampin Up!

Mystery Image Swap #49

Hello Hello!
I almost forgot to share the cards I made for Mystery Image Swap #49. Darlene was our hostess and she sent us 3 different images from a retired SU! Set - Holiday Lineup. This is such a cute set (I think I actually had it at one time). We were to make 4 cards, send them to Darlene, and we will get 3 back (Darlene gets to keep the 4th card) Darlene will swap them out and we will move on to round #50 (Our Silver Anniversary) which I am hostessing! Yay!

Here are the other two images I colored up. The patterned paper is from SU! and the sentiment is from Tim Holtz. I also used some red gemstones and some red ribbon. I think the reindeer one is my favorite of the three.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs ~ LJ

Use Your Wings!

Hello Hello~

It's the 15th of the month which means it's time for another Duel between the Divas and Darlings. Darlene and I are hostesses this month! The theme we chose is National Aviation Month.

"National Aviation History Month is dedicated to exploring, recognizing and celebrating America’s great contributions and achievements in the development of aviation. Aviation history refers to the history of development of mechanical flight — from the earliest attempts in kites and gliders to powered heavier-than-air, supersonic and space flights"

I sent the below kit contents to the Divas and I can't wait to see what they made with this kit. I used both of the airplane images. I also only sent one tag, so to get two tags, I traced one out and cut it out. (yes I did have extras - but I was trying to use what was in the divas kit! :) Both tags are sponged & I also sponged the Tim Holtz Quote Clip with Peeled Paint.

Image: Air Travel By Tim Holtz (TH) - stamped in both Peeled Paint (TH) and Faded Jeans (TH) die-cut with the Scan-n-Cut 2

Paper: Tim Holtz Paper Stash 8X8 Collage.
I thought the paper had some cool travel elements to them.

Other: Kraft Tags (JoAnns), Ribbon Seam Binding in Pear Pizzaz (SU), Cranberry Crisp Stitched Grossgrain (SU), Blue Dots, & 2 Quote Clips (Tim Holtz Idealology)

The Divas and Darlings will be taking off the month of December, and January we will be starting with new partners and new kits. I have loved being partners with Darlene and I am looking forward to dueling with my 2019 partner! :)

TMS #479 - Merry Christmas

Hello Hello!

Welcome to another Tuesday Morning Sketch!  Our sketch this week from Melissa features a fun diamond shape! I had so much fun with this sketch - even though it was challenging at first due to the shape of the main image. I ended up flipping the sketch as well. I do not have any diamond shaped dies - so my scan-n-cut 2 came in handy with the set of pre-loaded shapes it comes with.

Stamps: Christmas Magic (GKD) and Christmas Greenery (GKD)
Paper: White (GKD), Red Velvet (GKD), Kraft (GKD), White Polkadot Paper (from scrap stash)
Ink: Cherry Red (GKD)  - Tip - I didn't know beforehand if the sentiment would show up well enough on the patterned paper so I stamped it on a smaller scrap first.
Accessories: bling (Paper Studio), Stampin Blend Markers, pop-dots, Lawn fawn Stitched Border Die.
