Take Me Out to the Ballgame

No, not another picture of me at a ballpark (although I did think about it!). This is a project I am working on for another SCS swap. It's a summer container swap, and we are making 3+1. So this is #1! they will all be similar, two of the tins look like this, and the other ones are the lunch-boxes with the rounded top. So, the next thing I have to do is fill them up with baseball-themed goodies. Time to go Shopping! The image on the tag is from Home Run (SU Retired) I have two SU Baseball sets (the other being Take Me Out To The Ballgame, which is more vintage). The Tag is popped up with dimensionals.

Ok, off to work on the other 3! Goodnight!

WSC50 - Just Because I love you

Happy Saturday! I took a break from packing to work on Beate's weekend sketch challenge and this is how it turned out. I used Just Because I Love You (retired SU) for the stamps. I love this set and forget I have it to use. The flower images are so pretty. The rest of the recipe can be found in my SCS Gallery

FIrst In Fashion Flashback

Happy Friday!

So, this was supposed to be for Beate's weekend sketch challenge. Whoopsie! Once again, didn't quite work out. The panel with the purse is too big. LOL! So I improvised with the pieces I had and this is what I came up with. I love the "new" layout! :) I made six of these for a fashion-themed swap. I specifically joined the swap to use SU First In Fashion (retired).

Recipe:

Sets: First In Fashion

CS: Tempting Turquoise, Purely Pomegranate, Old Olive, WW, Petals and Paisleys DSP (retired)

Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Purely Pomegranate

Access: Bling Brad (MM), Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon

Have a good night! :) I'll try Beate's sketch again tomorrow! :)

And now....a card!

Now that I'm done with my baseball "fix" for awhile, here is a card I created this week for an Inkadinkado swap on SCS. I love this stamp (sorry about the poor photography on this one!) I love the DP - it's from American Crafts. The rest of the recipe:

Stamps: Inkadinkado

CS: River Rock, Purely Pomegranate

Ink: Purely Pomegranate

Acces: Slot Punch, Brads, River Rock Double Stitched Ribbon

First....Where have I been?

Hi Everyone,

hope you had a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend. Would you believe I did not do any stamping??? Scary yes...but it happened. LOL! Actually, I went on a weekend baseball trip to Chicago. It was wonderful! The picture above is from the 2nd of 3 games I went to. I like this picture because I'm wearing a Cubs shirt at the home park for the Chicago White Sox (in case you don't know, that's normally not a good idea - LOL!) So we saw the White Sox play the Angels Saturday and Sunday, and then Memorial Day we were at Wrigley Field watching the Cubs (they won YAY!). I was with a group of 23-25 people from Jay Buckley Baseball Tours. We also got some free-time downtown, and had a really nice lunch at Harry Caray's Restaurant.....ok now back to your normally scheduled stamping program...LOL!

More Happy Hippos

Hi all,

been a little AWOL again, lots going on around here so I have not been able to post much. But here is a card I made last night for a Gina K Designs Release Party Sketch Challenge. :) I was happy I got it done! LOL! The Hippo is from So Hippy (Gina K). I colored him/her (??) with my SU Taken With Teal Water Color Crayon, and then used my Blender Pens to finish it off. I didn't have a circle punch (gasp!) so I traced a circle and cut it out. The scallop was made with a .75" circle punch.

I'm going out of town this weekend (baseball trip to Chicago) but will have at least one card to post tomorrow before I take off! :)

Have a good night!

SC174 Terrific Topiary

Here is my card for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I love oblong cards! This one started as a 8X9" piece of Old Olive Cardstock, scored at 4" on the 8" side, and then scored again at .75". The stamp is from Gina K Designs (Thinking of you). The picture is not very good, but there is a SU Rhinestone Brad on the top flower. I used my nestabilities for the ovals. The Old Olive PolyTwill Ribbon is from the current SU Mini Catalog.

I plan to get some more cards done today! :) thanks for looking!
