Final Mojo Monday

Hello Hello

Hard to believe this is the 500th and final Mojo Monday Sketch challenge. Mojo Monday was one of the first challenges, and I loved doing it because it made me think out of the box, and sometimes get out of my comfort zone.

Here is my card, using Big Greetings (retired from MFT)

June Duel - Roses

Hello Hello

It's time to duel again between the Divas and Darlings. Tracie and Barb have chosen the theme of ROSES as June is Rose Month.  Barb sent the Divas two different images to choose from, I chose the simpler image from Hero Arts called Delicate Rose Stems. I colored it with prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The patterned paper is from Stampin Up' (Sweet Sorbet) and I used my own sentiment from another SU! set I have in my collection.

I love this theme. Roses remind me of my Grandma's/Aunts house that I used to live at where we had an abundance of Rose Bushes in the front of the house every year. I went back into my photo collection and found this pretty bloomer

And these are from later in the same year:

UIS Swap - Full of Flowers

Hello- Hello

I've had some blogger issues lately (taking the time to write a post and then it doesn't save so I can't post it. I think I figured it out (changing my password was one of them - and something in my browser settings) so I'm hoping this works :)

I created this card for the most recent Unidentified Image Swap. Each month we receive stamped images to make 4 cards with, the hostess (this month is Darlene) keeps 1 of the 4 cards made by each person, and then redistributes the rest of the cards back out to the swappers. So I will get 3 different cards back with the above image, along with some mystery images for the next round (which will be due in August)  We are on round 32 right now, which means this swap has been going 5+ years! I have been in the group from the beginning - and it's an awsome group of ladies!

So Darlene's image is from Hanpton Arts. I colored the image with prismacolor pencils. The gingham paper is from Cosmo Cricket, the orange (it's shimmery) paper is from SEI. I used some orange ribbon from my stash (I think it's from Hobby Lobby).

Card Kit from Terry

Hello Hello

I'm starting to create with the card kits I am receiving as part of a SCS swap. The month of May I receive card kits from 11 other swappers, and the 11 other months of the year I send them a card it.

Today's card is from a kit that Terry in PA sent me. I had a lot of fun coloring this Whipper Snapper Image and the Pebbles DSP is so adorable.

Here is the inside of my card:

Terry sent other images as well - along with more pattern paper and embellishments so I am sure I will create a few more cards from the kit to share here later!

I used the sketch from this week's MOJO Monday Challenge.

Hoppy Easter

Hello Hello ~
Sharing a quick card I made for my niece Tavi for Easter this year. I used one of the Lawn Fawn Mini Sets (Hoppy Easter) and last week's Freshly Made Sketch for inspiration. The cloud embossing folder is from stamping up and the green grass was cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Border dies . Super easy and cute to make!

You Are My Sunshine

Hello Hello ~

It's the 15th of the Month and time for our monthly duel between the divas and darlings. Kelly sent us this adorable kit using images and sentiments from CC Designs - Little Pixie - Sunshine. She is so darling! I colored her with Copics using the same color shades of the bright patterned paper Kelly sent with the kit. I put the sentiment on the inside of my card with some more fun patterned paper. I made the sunshine using a 1" circle punch and some strips of paper.

Would You Like To Ride In My Beautiful Balloon?

Hello ~ Hello

It's time for another duel between the Divas and Darlings. This month Darlene is the hostess for the Darlings and I am the hostess for the Divas. We chose the theme "Would You Like To Ride In My Beautiful Balloon?". Darlene and I chose this theme together in February, when Darlene flew to Milwaukee from the east coast for Camp-Stamp-In-Oga. It was so good to see her, Barb, and Terry. Such special memories for me.

Anyway, for my kit I chose to use a retired set from My Favorite Things called Up Up and Away. The balloon stamps have coordinating dies, so I die-cut some of those to go in the kit. Also in the kit was DSP from Fancy Pants (Life is Beautiful collection), some ribbon, blue gemstones, buttons, chipboard accents, and craft doilies.
