Hello~ Hello

Quick share today as I am hurrying out the door to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having this weekend. I created this card for MFT Sketch #73 using the Cowgirl Pure Innocence Set from MFY.
Patterned paper is from My Minds' Eye, Ribbon From SU!, and brads from Hobby Lobby (Paper Studio). I also used a couple of MFT Die-Namics on my card.

Happy Memorial Day!

Hello ~ Hello

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day full of parades, BBQ's, and great family time! Please take a moment to remember those that served for us, and those that continue to keep our country free and safe. :)

My card was created for Barb's Red, White, and Blue swap over on SCS. I made six of these. The images and sentiment are from  Papertrey Ink, "Est. 1776". I couldn't find many samples with this set (unfortunately). It's going to be a favorite set of mine. The eagle image was cut out with scissors. The rest of the card was fairly simple. I used this SCS sketch for inspiration:

MAY 2012 SFYTT

Hello ~ Hello

I'm back with this month's Sketch For You To Try Challenge. It's a great sketch. I love sketches that I can use a lot of patterned paper on. :) The Images are from My Favorite Things (Up Up and Away)  I also used the coordinating die-namics  Lately I have been finding myself buying LESS stamp sets, but the ones I do buy, I buy the coordinating dies if they have them.  It makes it so much easier to create and get more out of one set.  When this set came out MFT was not selling die-namics yet. I use this set more now that I have the dynamics to go with it, because I don't have to fussy-cut the balloon images.

All of the other supplies are retired from SU! (Ribbon and DSP). The rectangle die-cuts are from spellbinders.

Thanks for stopping by, the sketch is below! Hugs ~ LJ

Congratulations!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Hope you are all having a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend! My card for today is for one of Barb's SCS Swaps, this one is a Congratulations Swap. I love being in her swaps!

For my card I used Beautiful Butterflies (and coordinating die) from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is from Big Greetings from My favorite things. I used lots of retired patterned paper from SU! and the brads are from Basic Grey.

Thanks for stopping by, I'll have another card or 2 later this weekend. :)  Hugs ~ LJ

May 2012 Dueling Divas

Hello Hello ~

Time for our Monthly Duel! Our hostesses this month are Judy and Paola. This is such a pretty kit! I decided to keep my card simple so that the focus would be on the image which is from SU! Serene Spring. I don't have many images like this, so it was really fun to color. There were lots of pretty ribbon, buttons, bling etc in this kit. Can't wait to use it on a future DD card in a few months......

May is one of my favorite months, it's really the start of spring for me. Often our March's and April's here in south-central WI are chilly and damp. May is usually when we see the first extended days of warmth and when I can leave my home in the morning with a light jacket on, and carry it home after work. :)  Also in May is Mother's Day, Sytende Mai (Norwegian Constitution Day), Memorial Day weekend. ah I could go on.......

And it's when the weather gets warm enough for the Brewers to play with the roof open :)

I hope you enjoyed my post for the day.......be sure to check out all the rest of the Duel:

Judy, Barb,  Laura Jean (me) Judy, Jamie,  Kelly and Carol

Please start here, at Jeanette's blog for our friendly duel

Anniversary Wishes

hello ~ hello

Quick post this morning before I head out the door, here's another card I created with one of my new favorite sets from PaperTrey Ink Beautiful Butterflies & coordinating die set.  My mom and dad's 42nd Wedding Anniversary  was last week so I made this card for them :)

The patterned papers are from MME - Miss Caroline - Dilly Dally Collection. The die behind the butter fly is from My Favorite Things. The larger diecut that the sentiment is stamped on is from Spellbinders  & I used some SU! Riding Hood Red ribbon.
