Music To My Ears
Hello ~ Hello
Wanted to share my card for this week's MFT Sketch Challenge (#69) over on SCS. I used some pretty papers by MME (Lost & Found - Union Square collection) I found at Hobby Lobby this past week - love their 50% off sales. :-) I used the adorable Violin Girl PI image, her dress is paper pieced (this week's crazy 4 challenges blog challenge) & the rest of the image is colored with Copics.
The sketch is below, thanks for stopping by! Hugs ~ LJ

Big Impact
Hello ~ Hello
Don't know if you have noticed, but I absolutely LOVE Big Greetings from My Favorite Things! It hasn't left my desk since the day it arrived :)
I created this card for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, which was to use buttons. I kept my card simple this time around.
Thanks for stopping by!

DD March 2012
Hello Hello
Time for this month's Duel between the Darlings and Divas ~ and Terry and I are hosting this month! Yea! Terry had this month's idea - to create a masculine card for the guys in our life :) I had so much fun putting this kit together!
For the kit, I picked out an image and sentiment from "Hey, Man!" which is by A*Muse Art Stamps. I hadn't used this set yet, so it fit the theme perfectly. :) The patterned paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle. I picked it out because of the masculine colors, and the texture was so cool! I so need to go back and get more for *my* stash.
The rest of the kit had brown felt, brads, Ribbon Slide, Spiral Clip, 3 different ribbons, and PTI Buttons. I went with a lot of browns and metals to help along the masculine feel. :)
And of course my shout-out would had to go to the #1 guy in my life, my Dad. We have the most awesome relationship. Both of my parents have always been there for me, which I am so grateful for! This is my favorite picture of us, from a Badger Basketball game a few years ago.
Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your Sunday. :) Hugs ! LJ

New Challenge Blog!
Hello ~ Hello
I'm playing along this week with a relatively new challenge blog - Twisted Tuesdays. This week's theme is "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden" which requires a card/project with flowers without using roses or rosettes. This was the perfect challenge for me as I needed a couple of Birthday cards for some friends at work this week.
My first card is above, using Big Greetings from MFT. The Flower Die is from SU!, DP is from SEI (Happy Day Collection)
My second card (below) uses more of the same patterned paper that I used on the first card. I also used MOJO Sketch 236 for this card, the sentiment is from an older SU! set. The button and twine are also from SU!
Here's the MOJO Sketch if you would like to play along too:
Thanks for stopping by today, have a super day! Hugs ~ LJ

It's a Girl
Hello ~ Hello
Here is a card I made a few weeks ago for a co-worker that needed a baby-shower card. I used stamps from Gina K Designs for my main image and sentiment. The patterned paper is from October Afternoon - Ducks In A Row. Kind of bummed I do not have much of the 8X8 stack left, it's been a go-to pad for any kind of baby or spring cards I have needed the last year. Just have a couple 8X8 sheets and scraps left......
This was the image for a Mystery Image swap I joined on SCS some time ago. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the card I created for that swap :( Barb (our hostess) is posting the cards to a SCS Card Group Gallery, so when it's there I will share it later :) The card I made above I used one of the extra images I received from that swap. (Yes there are a few Gina K sets I don't own!)
Thanks for stopping by......Hugs ! LJ

Deconstructed Sketch #46
Hello ~ Hello
Finally found some mojo to get some stamping done tonight. :) Been fighting off a cold and allergies the last couple of weeks :( Seem to be doing better now that I have found some effective allergy meds.
Here's my card for the latest Deconstructed Sketch #46 - perfect for MFT Pure Innocence Images. I used the April Crazy For Daisies image. Colored her in with copies and prismacolors (E18, E79, E57, E00, YG95, PM129 and PM 192). I used some ribbon scraps, Basic Grey Brads, and some dp scraps from K&Company.
Thanks for stopping by! Hugs ~ LJ
