Howdy Cowboy

Hello ~ Hello

I've had this one done for a couple of days, just getting around to posting it for the March SFYTT Sketch Challenge. I have been getting my country on as of late (including listening to Lionel Richie's new album, "Tuskogee" ~ he took all of his hits from the past and put a country twang to all of them. It's all duets with country singers SO GOOD! I think "Lady" with Kenny Rodgers is my favorite, or is it "You Are" with Blake Shelton? I can't decide..Love them all!).........So this Cowboy Pure Innocence image is totally right up my alley right now.  LOL!

Patterned paper is from Basic Grey (Nook & Pantry), Ticket Border is from MME, Ribbon from SU!, Boot Button is from Dress It Up. The image panel is distressed on the sides an sponged with Close to Cocoa SU! Ink.

MFTWSC63 - Hey Princess

Hello Hello

Here is my card for MFTWSC63 using the new adorable Pure Innocence set 'Cute-a-tude'. gotta be one of my favorite PI sets - she is so flipping sassy. reminds me of a certain little 3-year-old in my life that has quite the sass on her own!

The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye. The ribbon I got last summer at a store in downtown Milwaukee called Broadway Paper.  They specialize in custom invitations, but they also have awesome gifts, notecards. wrapping paper, and of course RIBBON!  Definitely will have to make another trip there this spring/summer when I am visiting Scott!

The sketch is below ~ thanks so much for stopping by!

March DD Duel

Hello ~ Hello

It's time again for the divas and darlings to get on with our monthly duel, and since it's March, our lovely hostesses Barb and Michelle decided to go with a a St. Patrick's Day theme! Perfect! My hostess was barb, and she sent a lovely package full of green goodies! Oh so many goodies, I had to check to see how many 4-leaf clovers I had collected :)

The image Barb chose is from Whipper Snapper designs, called "Irish Luck". He was a lot of fun to color! The patterned paper is from Shenanigans. I also used some green bakers twine, white ribbon (from my stash), foam stickers, and green pearls. I also added some green bling to the shamrock Mr. Lucky is holding.  I also used the latest Sweet Sunday Sketch for this month's card, which you can see at the bottom of this blog post. :) It was perfect for this image!

The "bonus" challenge was to share some traditions related to St. Patrick's Day. Well March happens to be one of my favorite months in general, I love basketball and baseball, and March is when the NCAA Tournament occurs & baseball gets in full swing with spring training. It's also the month in which my sister and brother-in-law were married which was a very special day in my life.  I've spent a couple of St. Patrick's days @ Spring Training. It's a wonderful time to head south for some warmer weather, except for 2012, where it's supposed to be close to 70 on Saturday. :)

I hope you enjoyed my post for today, Please check out the other Darling Diva's as well ~ to see what they have on their blog waiting for you:

Judy, Barb,  Laura Jean (me) Judy, Jamie,  Kelly  Joan and  Carol

Please start here, at Jeanette's blog for our friendly duel

MFTWSC62 - You Make Life Sweet

Hello Hello

I got a chance to play with the MFT WSC Sketch this week (#62). The three panels (see sketch at end of post) were a challenge, but I love all the layers! I ended up using the MFT Pure Innocence Pucker Up set, which is so adorable. It got up to 65 today, so I suppose lemonade stands are not too far off in the distance. I used patterned papers from the Basic Grey Nook & Pantry collection. The mini-brads are also from Basic Grey. I also used a MFT Scallop Border Die-namic. The image was stamped with memento tuxedo black, colored in, and fussy-cut. I had cut the sentiment tag, which was stamped with Chocolate Chip.

MFTWSC61 - A Song of Friendship

Hello ~ Hello

Happy Monday ~ I hope yours was swell. :)

Here's my card for this week's MFT Sketch Challenge on SCS - The sentiment is from a MFT "Bonus" set that was released awhile ago in a VIP Kit. I just love this sentiment! I used lots of new patterned paper from MME - Miss Caroline Dilly Dally Collection that I found at Archiver's last weekend.  I created the bow with a Bow Easy (I had to watch this video from Gina K a few times, totally the best Bow Tutorial I have watched!) The only thing I did differently, is I use some kind of clip to hold my ribbon in place. It helps me when I am doing the looping around to make the knot.

Thanks for stopping by, the MFT Sketch is at the bottom of the post ~ Hugs ~ LJ

Smile

Hello ~ Hello

I have had a BUSY week, which is why I have not been posting the last couple of days! This will be a short post today :)

Today's card was created with a cute lil stamp set my mom purchased recently. Love the camera and sentiment. The patterned papers are from October Afternoon (Boarding Pass Collection) and I also used some new twine/fibers I got recently. The brads are from SU! I think.

Thanks for stopping by ~
