Today I am sharing my card for this month's Dueling Darlings challenge. Carol and Melina are the hostesses for the divas and dazzlers.
The theme for this month is "Friends are the Family We Choose for Ourselves. The Divas and Darlings have been together as friends and challenge buddies for the last four years - so we are celebrating our beautiful friendships with each other!
Carol's package this month was full of purple! :) So I had to go out of my "comfort zone". I chose to use just a sentiment on this card, as I thought the sentiment was so perfect in defining our friendships :)

This card is beautiful. Love the colors and DP as well as just using a sentiment with the big flower.
I love how we used the same paper and ribbon and your card looks so different than mine! I guess that is the gist to our group! LOL I like how you used just the sentiment and were able to use that fancy flower. Great job!

LJ, what a pretty card! I'm late to the party but this was worth the effort. Love how you used the kit and made the sentiment the focal point. That pretty flower really enhances it perfectly as does the flower panel with the strip of ribbon! So glad to have your friendship as part of the DDDs!!
What a lovely card! The sentiment sure shows up in the sea of lavendar!
