Going Places

Hello Hello

I hope you are enjoying November so far. It sure has been a busy month for me, between going to Arizona for a week and moving back to my hometown. I'm slowly but surely getting settled into the new "digs".  My post is a bit late this month, as I have been busy moving.

Our November Duel is themed "Trains, Plains, and Automobiles. November is Aviation History Month and also has National Model Railroad Day. When I think of Aviation, I think of my mom who is always looking out for passing fighter planes that are running practice routes. I'm always amazing how easily she can tell the difference between a F-14 and F-16. I can't that's for sure!

I LOVE to travel, by all modes of transportation. The last 4-5 years my friend Scott and I have taken a few Amtrak trains. it's a wonderful way to see the country......and often the tracks do not travel along highways so you see things you would normally not see from a car. The longest train ride we have taken so far is 26 hours.

For my card, I decided not to use an image this time around. Our hostess carol sent such awsome papers I wanted to get as much of it on my card. I think I would use this card for someone that's taking a trip somewhere a long distance away, to remind them that I would be thinking of them during their journey.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs ~ LJ

Super card, LJ! I like how you used the papers, flash cards, tags and all the embellishments to create this ode to travel with the accent on aviation. Love the story about your mom and how she can identify those aircraft flying overhead. So fitting with your card. Great travel stories too!
What a terrific pix taken from your phone! Great job!!!

How clever you were to just use the paper. I thought both the planes were images! The paper in this kit is awesome and i love the card you made with it.
