Evening! It's getting to be time for Badger Hoops, against Illinois @ the Kohl Center (here in Madison). So why aren't I there? Oh because it's the toughest ticket in town these days (no offense football team). Of course, it wouldn't be a Badger Basketball night without a little wet weather (yep it's snowing here).
I think the Badgers will do well tonight against IL, The photo to the left is of John Leuer, who had 25 points @ Michigan and more recently 7 points in 14 minutes against Iowa. Coming off the bench he's giving the Badgers a really good look as far as the outside shot (3-ball) goes. He's also shooting 7 of 8 beyond the arch in big-ten games so far, which as a team, the Badgers have really been missing. I'm hoping to continue to see Brian Butch be aggressive in the paint tonight as well. In the Big Ten, you need a "big go to guy" down low to be successful in the conference and I think Butch can be that guy. Not that Landry is not doing well down there, but he is more of a slasher-type player, and Butch can take up some real-estate down there.
Well, those are my thoughts for a successful game! Go BADGERS! :)
