Challenge Your Stash - Play Ball

Hello Hello -

It's the 28th of the Month - which means it's time for a fun SCS Challenge - Challenge Your Stash. Our hostess this month is Heather and our challenge is to create a card about you. This one came soooo incredibly easy for me (thanks Heather!) as I grabbed my stash of Graphic 45 Just Sporting papers and created a baseball-themed card. I used Paper Players Sketch #386 for my layout and I will be entering my card for that challenge too!

Here is a close up of the charm I used - so stinking cute :)

For those that do not know me well, baseball has been a love of mine for many many years. I've been lucky enough to see major league games in 46 baseball parks (all current parks, the other 16 parks are retired).  I've been a Cubs fan as long as I can remember. My grandma was a Cubs fan and I got hooked. I also love to keep score. I kept score for the Varsity Boys High School team when in High School (and for a few years after) and came back last season as a volunteer scorekeeper. I really just LOVE being around the game! This year I hope to get to quite a few MLB parks: Wrigley Field (Chicago NL), Miller Park (Milwaukee),  Guaranteed Rate Field (Chicago AL), Coors Field (Denver), AT&T Park (San Francisco), and Dodger Stadium (Los Angeles). It's going to be a fun summer for me! :)

Happy Birthday To You...

Hello Hello - Checking in really quick with another sketch challenge card I made. This is for Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #329. I used some leftovers from this month's Duel Kit that Judy sent me. I love this Birthday die-cut (Die-cut sentiments is something I don't have a lot of!) The patterned paper and bling is also from the kit, and I used some SU! ribbon from my stash.

Here is the sketch:

Flower Chick

Hello Hello

Today I am sharing a card I created with the Inky Antics Set "Flower Chick" I got it about a year ago at a stamping show in Rockford, Illinois.

Birthday Duel

Hi all ~
It's the 15th of the Month and Judy put together a fun Birthday-themed kit to play with. I decided to try to play on the colors in the bottom patterned paper panel. The card base is 5.5" Square.

Sorry such a short post this time! Thanks for stopping by ~ Hugs ~ LJ

CYS - Add a Heart

Hello Hello

Today I'm sharing my "Challenge Your Stash" card for this month. Each month, someone is the hostess, or challenger, and comes up with a challenge for the group. This could be a sketch or a color combination or a technique or a combination of those. Each person then uses her own images--digital or hand stamped--whatever she decides works best for the monthly challenge.  The creations from the challenge are then shared on the 28th of the month. This month's hostess is Tracie and she challenged us with putting at least one heart on their card. This seems totally appropriate - given that we are still in the month of LOVE, February!

I made my card using the Hearts and Flowers Stamp TV Kit from Gina K Designs. The card layout comes from Tuesday Morning Sketches  (yes I actually created this card last night! :)

I actually made a different card for the challenge before the one above over the weekend, so I'll share that one tomorrow :)

MFTWSC 373

Hello Hello -

Today I am sharing my card for MFT Sketch 373. I pulled out my PI Giraffe Girl and colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol. I think this is one of my better coloring results. I'm still learning how to color with pencils though.

The patterned cloud paper is from my scrap pile (Echo Park). I added some SU! Pears for embellishments. The circle stamp I used on the kraft panel is retired from SU! (Polka Dots & Paisley).

Below is a close up of the coloring:

Here is the sketch (my card has a slight variation)
