Always In My Heart

Good Evening!

Here is the card I made for this weekend's sketch over at Taylored Expressions. I used the set Always from SU which I borrowed from my friend Laurel.  I had a lot of fun making this card, and I think it's because of these colors found in the Basic Grey Bittersweet 6X6 Paper Pack that I picked up at Gina K's Store  a couple of weeks ago.

The full recipe can be found HERE in my SCS Gallery.

Hi everyone,

Starting to thaw out here in the frozen tundras of Wisconsin, but I wanted to share this card I made out of a card kit swap I received from another SCSer. This was my January Kit.

I hope to find out who makes these cute images! The eskimo and igloo are so cute!

Bitttersweet Tilda

Hello!

I made this card for a February Challenge on Paper Craft Planet - which was to create a card using colors in the Basic Grey Bittersweet Collection. I figured why not use that paper for the card? So here's my Tilda w/Rose, colored with Koh-I-Noor Pencils.

Recipe:
Stamps: Tilda w/Rose (Magnolia) Love You Much (SU)
Paper: Choc Chip, Pink Pirouette, White, Close to Cocoa, Bittersweet BG DP,
Access: Scallop Circle Punch. .75" circle punch, bling, Pink Pirouette Striped Ribbon, Corner Rounder Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, Basic Grey Bittersweet Brads, Koh-i-noor pencils

Reason to Smile

I'm home from work today, battling a cold, we're in the middle of winter, and yet,  I have MANY reasons to smile every day that I get out of bed. How about you? For one thing, I have a beautiful new niece to cuddle, love and spoil for the rest of my life. She means everything to me, and her alone will give me reasons to smile every day and be thankful for life's little blessings.

I made this card today for a sketch swap on SCS. I used last week's Taylored Expressions Sketch (TECC53).

Recipe:
Stamps: Reason To Smile (retired SU Hostess Set)
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, White, LilyKate Basic Grey DP, White
Ink: Kiwi Kiss
Access: Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon, Brads, Square Punches, Hole Punch.

Kitty's Best Friend

I'm finally back with a card! :) Yipee! Sorry about the finger on the image up there, the card wouldn't stay down LOL! Last Wednesday (before all the baby stuff happened ~ I'm an auntie now! woo-hoo!)  Dad took me to Gina K's store in McFarland to get some new goodies! This is one of the new stamp sets I picked up, Framed Friends designed by Asela Hopkins. Isn't the Kitty cute? I colored her in with my prismacolor markers. The paper and brads are from the Bittersweet Basic Grey line which I also got at Gina K's The kitty image actually has a cute little bird in the window, but instead I stamped the heart on some of the BG paper cut it out and popped it up!  The chocolate ribbon is from SU, the pink ribbon is Amuse. Omgosh I love that Amuse Ribbon! Sooooo pretty!

Have a super night!

Be Like The Flower...

I made this card today for two challenges, Melanie's Tempted Sentiments Challenge and Gina K's anything but the Standard Card Size Challenge . The card size is 4.25 X6". When I started this card, I started with the image (flowers are from Melanie's A Year of Flowers for Gina K Designs, The Flower Pot is from Stamps By Judith) & then realized it wasn't going to fit on a standard card size if I used a sentiment with it. So I then remembered Gina had the card challenge, and made the adjustment to a larger card base. The flower image was colored in with Prismacolor Markers. I stamped the sentiment (from Melanie's Say it With Flowers for Gina K Designs) in Close to Cocoa on Marigold Morning (retired SU In-Color). The larger brown panel is stamped with the same flower image on Close to Cocoa (with Close to Cocoa ink). I used my Nestabilities Dies, Cuttlebug, SEI Brads, and Chocolate Chip Grossgrain to finish off the card.
