SC170 Floating Butterflies.

Happy Saturday,
My friend Laurel came over to stamp with me last night for 3.5 hours, and this is the one card I did. Its for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge on SCS. I borrowed the stamp set (Merci) from Laurel. It's a SU SAB set from this year. I wasn't flipping over it when I saw it in the mini, so I didn't get it. Now I am wondering what the heck was wrong with me! The flowers and butterflies are stamped in Black Stazon and then I used my WWC and Blender pen to color them in. The butterflies are up on dimensionals. I'm gonna try to post another creation by the end of the night I got some good ideas in my head for some SCS swaps I am in.

I'm back!

So I have not posted in awhile....with good reason....I was in arizona on vacation watching spring training. It was wonderful! Warm temperatures, abundant sunshine, and baseball (what else could a sun-deprived baseball fan like me want?)

I got some stamping goodies while I was there...which I will try to share in the upcoming week or so...my big purchase was prismacolor pencils....they are wonderful! see you later!

Monkeying around with Gina K

Good Morning!
Thought I would share another cute Gina K card with you. I knew I wanted to do paper piercing with the balloons the second I saw this set! I'll add the recipe later (it's 5:45am and I have to get ready for work) But I wanted to share something right away since I did not last night (I was at Gina K's on-line release party!)
Have a great day! :)

WIld About Waterfall Cards!

Evening!
I signed up for another spot in that "move that thing" swap (AKA Cards with moving parts). I wanted to try the Waterfall Card this time. This is what I came up with. It's been awhile since I have done a waterfall card. I knew exactly what I wanted to do (stamp set, colors etc) so this one came pretty easy for me. I hope the girls like it!

Here is the recipe:
Set: Wild About You
INK: Purely Pomegranate, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi,
CS: Same, plus Whisper White, Cutie Pie DSP,
Access: Eyelets, Bashful Blue Striped Ribbon, Horizontal Slot Punch, Linen Thread

Cute chickie

Hi everyone,
Just a quick post, one of my ladies in a SCS swap I hosted recently sent me this cute chickie stamp. Isn't it a cutie? I just had to ink it up right away. I'll get the recipe on here tomorrow, but wanted to share it tonight before I hit the sack....I can tell you that the DSP is SU Summer Picnic, The colors are Taken With Teal, Real Red, Whisper White, and Summer Sun. The Chickie was stamped with Jet Black Stazon, and then I colored it in with WWC and my SU Blender Pen. The 'cute' stamp is from 2007 SU SAB set called "So Very". Have a great night!

Slide On Over....

Good evening! Tonight I am sharing a "Slider" Card. I signed up for a swap that involves "cards that move", and this is what I picked out for my type of card. I've never done one of these before, and I was a little nervous, but never fear, the tutorial on SCS was fantastic (since when doesn't Beate write a great tutorial?) Anyways, the "trick" with this one is when you pull on the tab on the left, both the left and right side of the whisper white card-stock just "slide out". This card also uses "Always" which I LOVE. I borrowed it from my friend for a few days so I could play with it. :)
You can find the full recipe by clicking HERE

Have an awsome night! :)

Time 2 Stamp!

Happy Monday....
So tonight I am posting one of my chipboard projects I showed off at my SU downline meeting, isn't it cute?
The clock I got @ the Target Dollar Spot for $2.49 about 2 years ago. The outside is a chipboard piece from SU Ginormous Pieces. I covered it with Groovy Guava Textured Cardstock. The chipboard numbers are inked in Groovy Guava, and then the "dots" are actually build-a-brads. I used the Little Pieces set for the brad centers. The clock face is Soft Sky Print Patterns DSP. The hardest part was cutting the excess Groovy Guava paper from the chipboard, because there are all those curves in side. :) Anyways, it's one of my favorite projects. I'm going to hang this up in my stamp room where my current clock is! :)

Off to stamp, I have a SCS swap to do, and I am trying the Slider Card. I'll post it later ! Should be easy, the tutorial was written by Beate, and I never have a problem with her tutorials! :)
